TOPIC of TODAY: "Birds" by jim

FORMAT: Any
TIME LIMIT: none
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES PER ARTIST: 3
OTHER THAN THAT: Mainly use Verve, please!

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS:
Time for a new topic again! I really believe this makes a fun topic. You could go nuts and use real reference or just have fun all the way from cartoon over fantasy to abstract. I think it'll be a good one to come back to every now and then as well! :)

"Ralphie Rooster's Midnight Snack... A Family's Dark Secret Revealed" :o
2.5 hours...

Arrg... :x Sorry, Taron... The new opacity has it's uses, but I found way too many instanced where I would have killed for some subtle opacity changes all across the board. :|

It's not really Verve eating me tonight... I tried out a new wireless Logitech mouse (m510) today.
It's tracking is smooth, but I found that it has lousy straight-line tracking and my lines don't go where I'd like them too, and it's acceleration is funny.
Some brush strokes seem to get away from me.
It seems I've got some getting used to... Perhaps I should keep the old mouse going.

Yes, I did try using the new opacity to my advantage, like the moon glow through the window, and it looked naturally painted. ;)

Holy CRAP, Mike... holy tolido! There's a problem???? :o  ... WHERE? Where could it possibly be? This is awesome, man! :D 8-)
I pretty much love everything about it...except maybe the crooked egg-holder-cup thingy, which breaks with the otherwise incredible awesomeness of it all!

I'll hook ordinary opacity up for you, too, no problem, but it has to be a tiny moment. I'm really swamped and it needs some kind of semi-elegant solution, I'm afraid.

Anyway, congrats on this piece of art well worth remembering! :D

Ok Mike, all is well again... I've added "Layer Visibility" as the traditional fade value for a layer. Old files will automatically load their "opacity" values into the new "visibility" value. Only those cross over files will be messy and need a manual switch of those parameter values. But then you just save it again and all will be well.

Pilou...I'd call it a migraine bird! :D
