I'm sure all of this has become so engrained within you that it's simply part of your intuition by now. I wobble back and forth between just exploring details or just exploring composition and barely ever fuse the two. But then... I can't be dedicated to any of this right now, which is a pity, but soon I'll focus more on it again. It's far to exciting to deny it to myself. :)
I like comics...although I dislike tedium, haha, so there's a mild conflict. I can see myself, however, getting into such a groove at some point. I've always thought about it from time to time. I'm sure it's a brilliant exercise! OH HEY, maybe we'll do a sketch topic "Comic strip" or so. That might be fun, too!? :)

Hey dba, me again :D :D

Haven't you tried Brush #9?

Brush #9 - switch off canvas structure! - play around with settings. build up, bump, glossiniess etc.
I guess these are pretty neat lines on can expect from a pixel orientated drawing app.
Resolution is a limitation for sure 2kx2k is not very much for fine lines.

Maybe you would like to check out Lazy Nezumi for very precise linework?
http://lazynezumi.com/ I am quite sure you already know it?

It helps a bit more to get lines smoothed, even supporting accurate pen pressure.
Works with photoshop & verve.
Is a chance to compensate missing fine tuning you got with vector lines.

Don't forget to share you experiments ;)

Here come the seagulls :D
I worked hard on that water again and what I'm satisfied with is ... the sky ! :D
But the water is closer to what I was looking. No secret, practice, pratice and more practice. A long cruise awaits me, alot of progress to make, but what a trip!

OMG, omg, omg...
I'm going to watch the dba show! :D
One of these days, by the way, you should record a session! I'd love to see it! :)
The motion, the color, the light, the composition, the drama.

hu hu Pilou, now "stormy weather" is turning in my head :D could be worse.

Yes Taron, I already thought about it (could be a good way to promote verve) but I never had time to explore the tools for recording without slowing too much my antique computer. My very old video card doesnt let me using big resolution in Verve, yet, so I should pick a very very light app for the record. I'll look for it, sure.
