GPU Renderings are the future I think, UNREAL ENGINE - it means its realtime rendering? 5-6 years ago I did see in youtube a video of a water simultaion too - it was very very nice too, but his AMD Computer & with the Software REALFLOW - he did need a whole week for 2-3 minutes Watersimulation-Rendering, like that example.

Yah, well, those cards nowdays have how many processes running parallel? It's in the thousands already. So, yeah, GPU is kind of the future, but then I am wondering whether the entire architecture of computers wants to be reconsidered. :geek: ...only one thing is for sure: It's getting more and more fascinating until it becomes normal again! :P

I'm thrilled about the continued existence of the demo scene, because those guys never rested on the increase of computing power. Pushing the limits should always be on both hardware and software. Wished I'd know more, though... :shrug:
