Yes, maybe thats depend on my Wacom? I have to test the same Issue with [W]-MODE too. I knew PenPressure problems only in Photoshop CS6 two, three years ago (Driver Issue - I think).

When this happens, try to go to Wacom Desktop Center, choose "Backup & Restore Settings to Computer" on the left side (main menus) and then Reset settings (not "Restore"). This will reset your wacom drivers and should get you pen pressure back! No need to restart Verve.

Hi Taron! I've been making more time to spend Verve'ing again, and am running into a repeatable crash. It seems to happen whenever I have certain brush images loaded into my painting, and then try to save. Once these brush images have been loaded, it will always crash when saving as a verve project, even if I delete all the brush images first. Here are some files that you can duplicate it with:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xacopmfauol5n ... y.vrv?dl=1
https://www.dropbox.com/s/x2e95x1zc4c2f ... s.vri?dl=1

Steps to duplicate the crash:
1) Load the .vrv project file
2) Load the brush images next
3) Try to save it as a .vrv

When I do the above, I get this error:

Thanks for looking into this, and thanks again for Verve! I really enjoy it and am really able to get some great results from it now that I have a deep understanding of its various knobs and adjustments. Just one example of what you can get out of Verve in minutes, that I've never been able to match in any other app:

You've created those brush images outside of Verve, didn't you? Like they are imported pngs?

Ok, there is something very strange with those imported brush images. I can't yet tell what's going on, but somehow they corrupt something that is not as easy to track down as one might think, because it doesn't easily debug. For now I would suggest sticking with Verve and avoid this third party import thing I have never really explored. I will hook up a proper import very soon, since I just wrote a proper 16 bit png import with bmax! Things are looking up from here! :hyper: ...but, yeah, until then I would avoid using those brush images, as ridiculous as I might sound saying that.

Takes literally seconds to create an image series like this:

And it's absolutely secure to use it! 8-)

qwerty 42, if you care, use these brushes c:!
everything seems to be good, on the older verve version.
I checked on 099v31

Thanks for the replies! I did indeed make them by loading a .png image into verve and then grabbing the brush dabs individually from that larger image. I don't seem to have the exact same file I chopped those out of (made them over a year ago), but I do have a similar file here which I tried making new images from yesterday, with the same resulting crash coming from it. So the problem appears to be something related to brush images that were created by sampling an imported .png image

If this helps debugging at all, this is the source png I tried making new brush images from yesterday which also caused crashing: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8duuha4lziv5f ... r.png?dl=1

Like pudjakjuzto mentioned, I did use these on older versions of Verve without any issues that I can recall... so I was thinking it was related to some recent change in Verve's file I/O?

Edit: Yep, just tested in Verve 0.99.31 and they save fine. V0.99.32+ causes the crash... so something about that version's changes is the culprit! :ugeek:

Yep, it's possible. I have to investigate more. First I should remember what I've changed, hahaha... but on the other hand, I always find it more important to actually move forward, meaning that I clean up my act, so to say.
Some stuff is really, really strange and fascinating.
