Your thoughts about DA and AS "Opt out of AI training"

I don't know if there is a thread about this subject yet, but I consider it a delicate issue, so here I am.

It seems that artists can now "opt out of AI training" in digital galleries like DeviantArt and ArtStation,
I'm just preoccupied that these "data web scrapers" could gather our beloved Verve artworks and just clone us scornfully by just typing one name promp, like they did with so many other artists.
Is there a sort of "opt out for AI training" option in this forum Taron?
I certainly would not like our beloved Verve vibe and lore, the product of all our experimentation, to be hijacked by those corporate creeps so they can make even more profit by sucking out our souls.

Please, I know some of you, use AI as photographic reference tools or even more, and that are very enthusiastic about new technologies, but I would like to hear your thoughts about AI cloning other living artists via names promps and by doing so underrating them. I'm against that, and I think there should be regulations.
Please share news about the subject as well.

I saw that there is a hearing in the US congress about this very subject.

I'm not sure how to go about it, but I'm all ears if anyone does already! :ugeek:
I'll have a look tomorrow, see if I can find something. Thanks, Ed! :ob

Well, I for one think that we could come up with a statement in this forum that rejects the use of its contents on any AI training. There should be and option to do that, like in DeviantArt or ArtStation.

I believe it's too late for the previous images! :)
All is yet made ...
Quasi all engines are yet trained...all your images are yet used before now...
this will serve as a lesson for the next technologic step! c:!

I disagree,
errors can be amended,
and even if there is no going back and our earlier artworks are on some nasty database,
what about our future artworks that we will produce here on this forum?
We must protect ourselves against "corporate digital forgery". I think.
There must be an option to tag all our artworks as "NoAI".

Hmm. I had a little ringing in my ears and I heard bells ringing somewhere.
NFT or some other yet to be invented blockchain or a classic drawer will hide those who want to hide/sell art, there is no difference.

It depends on which side you buy or sell souls on.
Personally, I felt better when I bought the Kacper BOƻEK graphics myself.
I have a set of magnifying glasses and I look at them at high magnification.
I haven't hung them up yet because I don't want the sun to eat them.

Funny thing, right from this forum's beginnings I had hooked up a robot script that prevents crawler from scanning this forum. I did that as I spam bot countermeasure, but it may very well have stopped ai crawlers from going through here, too.
Also, if you post links to your art on deviant or artstation and you have opted out over there, it should count for here, too, of course.

Last but not least, I think that it's outrageous for all ai training to demand prohibition rather than asking for permission. It should definitely be that ai must ask permission and not check if it's not allowed. That's ridiculous.

Oh, haha, and the weird NFT stuff. I still don't know what to make of it. One day I may look into that, too, if I really have to.
