OMG ! :o
This software is amazing ! I fall in love !
Can i marry Verve ?

Never used any tool so close to real painting material ! I can almost smell the oil painting :P

Off course there are small bugs. ;) I cant save png, the result is a gray picture. Don't know if it has to do with my video card ? I'm on win7 64bit, with an ATI Radeon HD4770. Jpg format works perfect, though
But, not being able to export transparency is a bit annoying.

I also have some issues with the brushes in pressure sensitive mode. It works fine mostly, but sometimes the pressure begins with 100% and products a big splatter. As there is only one undo, and as I often made few more strokes before realizing, it's too late for correction :(
Maybe it comes from my old wacom pen tablet ? I have no such problems in any other graphic software (photoshop, painter, manga studio)

Never mind, this are small bugs and must be complex to fix, especially if it depends on the configurations. I can deal with that, because Verve is so awesome !

But, there is ONE missing feature i can't live without : please please please, let us import jpg pictures !!!!!
As an artist, I am quite good at drawing, but I still have a lot to learn concerning painting. Verve is far better than any other tool for that purpose, mainly because it's so much more intuitive. But, i need to start with one of my drawings or i get lost ! Without a quick sketch on which to paint, I am good for nothing.
I beg you on my knees, please please please, implement picture import and my marriage with Verve will lead to so many children !

(Sorry for my english, i'm french) Still many thanks for sharing this incredible tool.

AH, I just saw your post now, dba, sorry!
The png export issue is weird, no idea what that is, but it could be an openGL thing somehow. What software are you using to view the png, because it is a 16bit png.
Also, always see that you're using your latest drivers for the graphics card!
You can export transparency, but only of the layer you are currently on, if you have more than one layer.
It's all in the manual:
[Ctrl]+[s] to save current layer with alpha (16bit png)
[Ctrl]+[Shift]+[s] to save the combined image in two 16bit pngs: COLOR only and MATERIAL(heightmap) only

Import will come!

Ho ! Shame on me, I was doing all wrong !
I used the save button then choosed png format instead of using the shortcuts

[Ctrl]+[s] and [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[s] work perfect !

That's what happens when one is to lazy to read the english doc . I learned on the french version and i guess Pilou forgot one or two things. Or did i miss that part Pilou ? :geek:
Whatever, now i can export ! :P

Thanks a lot for the quick answer. :)

We still should track down your other png issue, because normal save ( [shift]+[s] to save as..., [s] to quick save) should still work, too! :|

First was inside the French Manual ;)
[ctrl]+[s] sauve seulement le calque courant (avec alpha) en png 16 bits

Never seen the second variant! :o
[Ctrl]+[Maj]+[s] sauve l'image combinée (avec alpha) en 2 PNG 16 bits : Couleur seulement et matériau seulement (heighmap)

Now added! 8-)

Well, it's still very minimal, but it's a start. :)
