The paint drying bug makes some interesting effects if you turn fluidity up, drying down, and cover the whole screen: (18% still decays, btw)

The proportions are probably all off, especially in the eyes, and I kind of lost the original facial expression. Oh well. Did I mention how much I love the fractal clouds brush?

Ahahaha, we're all pestered by cats?
Yeah, you know, if all goes well I may fix Verve for your card, too, but then it won't look like that anymore with the fluids!!! ;)
That just shows that the divergence procedure within the fluids is not working properly.
Cute cat for sure! :)

Eye study. (ref)

I wanted to experiment with just B&W fractal noise brush, so I painted a red-orange field in layer one and then the eye in pure B&W on layer 2.

Works out well, Fucksia! Especially at a distance it really comes together!

Yeah it's funny how well it works as a thumbnail. Especially since I spent half of the time zoomed in and rarely zoomed out past 100%!

Ummm... help!

I painted this guy (apparently he is a meme?) and saved the file to .vrv before I opened a different file. Then when I went back I remembered I'd left the drying speed on 50: the whole thing explodes when I open it. Could anyone export it for me?

Basically I felt like working in the old EGA palette (well, technically 1 of 2): so only black, white, cyan, and magenta. It seems interesting to me that blending cyan, magenta, and black produces a dark blue -- is that how it's supposed to work?

Proportions are off as usual, especially eyes -- how do you guys maintain good proportions? I think part of it is the default brush settings are good for painting but not sketching, so I tend to just paint without laying down guidelines. Bad habit.

Good Habit! That way you rather model than sketch and you get a lot more life into your creations! It is a matter of preferences, of course, but there's a lot to it not to do sketching first.
However, you can absolutely do sketches with Verve, too. Just take your brush size down, maybe even use brush 1 or 6, if you want it cleaner or 8, if you want a pencil feel. Play with opacity and build-up to find what feels best to you.

Cyan and Magenta should give blue in additive color blending. In subtractive blending it would probably end up some muddy blueish tone as well, I'd imagine. But chemistry plays a role there, too. Blue is a prime color, so ordinarily you couldn't quite produce a blue with two other colors. Just like Red or Yellow, if I'm not mistaken. However, this is the magical world of digital art... so you can do that here! :D

Frog looks great, but I think my eyes are losing power on some rods right now, hahaha...
