I promised Taron that I would show some of the textures I painted for my recent 3D project, Peach's Castle, so here they are :)

My scene on Sketchfab:

Many of the textures I made for the project are painted in Verve, some mixed many different paint textures to get to the effect that I wanted.

Grass texture:

Gravel texture:

Skybox (not too happy about this one, I was super excited to paint it at the two clouds in the middle right, the rest, I kind of lost interest :/ I also was not sure where to put the light source, so lighting makes no sense in it, but whatever c:! ):

I also used these paint splashes for further detailing and painting alpha some places:

I liked using Verve painting textures for this project, it was interesting being able to control the surface textures using swipes and dots. I'm not used to traditional painting, so it was completely new to me. I intend to use it again when I find another suitable project (and it will probably be easier next time since I now know how to use the software :) )

Thanks, mStuff, that's so desperately cute, I love it! :ob
Not to mention that you've done an excellent job with the textures. They really provide a sense of quality all together. In Sketchfab you can appreciate the beautiful sky, too. Wished you rendered an angle that would show it in your still, too.

GREAT WORK! I'm already excited for your next one! c:!

Thanks guys! I'm happy you like it !

I usually start new projects aiming to learn something new to develop my art style. This one had painterly textures, game engine-ready simple model meshes and render baking as main goals. I don't know what I'll try next  .
I don't think I'll work much more on this one for a while now, I'll see if I can get to fix up the scene and make the waterfall etc etc.

If you're interested, you can find my site here http://www.marcusrichter.dk if you'd like to keep updated on my stuff :)

I have to repeat the word Pro here. This is a great use of verve to complete a scene and shows how well it works with 3d in the capable hands of an individual such as yourself :ob

Thanks for all the nice comments guys ! I actually went ahead and tried animating a camera to follow the path of the camera in the n64 intro, you can find the video here:

I even composed a weird remake of the original intro music for it c:! c:! c:! c:! c:! :)
