Welcome Scott,

I seen in the last painting that you use more fluididy for the sky, it's good idea to lulled by the fluidity of Verve and gradually find shapes and grow. I want to see more

Re: Scott's Progression.

Thanks guys! :D Gonna have another bash this weekend. I played both Diablo 3 and WoW, but I hated both :P I think cause most games suck you in with repetitiveness and you lose sight of if you're still having fun or not :P Mainly been playing offline games and short online games like LoL and Smite. But they're fulla angry kids >.<

Re: Scott's Progression.

Had another play with fluidity and textures tonight. Made a nice background to work with tomorrow, I'm just too afraid to put something in the foreground and I'm not sure what to put :P I might turn the sea into a lake and attempt some trees and stuff around the edges and in the foreground.

Added a bit of foreground...need some imagination n work though :P

Re: Scott's Progression.

Don't forget that you can also work with layers! That includes the ability to copy layers, if that helps your courage! ;)
But my best advice to you is: Save versions of your paintings! :geek:

Re: Scott's Progression.

Yeah, that entire thing is like 4 layers, I'm not brave enough to attempt it all in one layer so when I want to add something or try something new I add a layer. I didn't know you could copy layers though, I need to go and have a re-read of the manual. It's taking some time to sink in but at least my paintings are getting slowly better :P

Re: Scott's Progression.

Hey, those are some leaps! Very nice!
Most of the time I just work in one layer, but mostly because my stuff is generally just experimentation to test features. It's a good habit to make use of the layers. However, Verve still needs some more attention for them to work as elegantly as one should expect. Most of it is a question of blending logic, though, because of the way I deal with material accumulation. Tough thing to find an easy solution for everyone. But I'll figure it out...
