rcpongo's doodles

This is such an amazing program!

I've been watching all of Taron's videos and trying to get up to speed with all of the hotkeys. This is just a pure pleasure to work with, I only wish I could paint better. This program keeps me coming back for more though, so hopefully I'll be getting lots of practice.

Here are my first few that I want to share.

Swirls started to look like a dog, so I ended up with this.

Ok, last one for now.

Took the displacement map out from this one and rendered it in Blender. I can almost feel the texture here!

Re: rcpongo's doodles

Ay Caramba, rcpongo! That's awesome stuff right off the get-go! You blend right in here like a veteran with your first set! I just wish you keep going with it and see only greatness poking through your explorations right away! :ob

That's the funny thing about first encounters with new artists. You cannot hide your expert knowledge, even if you tried! From composition to color choices to rendering out subject matters...you know and you understand how to wield Verve around properly to do your bidding already. I'm very excited to see this thread grow! :bounce:

I cannot decide which one I like best, because each one has already such strength in the field it represents. I believe, once you're totally warmed up, this is going to be one beautiful exhibition thread! :D

Re: rcpongo's doodles

Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Still learning new things about this. Had to start a cheat sheet with all the hotkeys so I could remember what I was doing.

Here is today's doodle (one of many, but not so happy with some of the others.) I need to keep practicing.

Quick sneaky feature request of the day: how about a gravity force that makes everything flow downward a bit? It could be really cool for those watercolor washes.

Nice!
Have a look here for hotkeys list:

But using the Info / Manual and Firefox combined with STRG+F for search is effective too ;)

Re: rcpongo's doodles

Yea thanks. I've already got that one. My sheet is just a piece of paper with the most common ones I need to use. Less confusion and searching that way. Today I just figured out the lock angle function for the brush (a and shift-a) Those are going to be quite useful.
