Re: Ovn1's 2 cents

Ikki n Jean Grey
two phoenixes  :o
man you totally got it!!! xD
I've noticed that in some artworks the spirals are at certain angle, as if the paper were photographed a bit from the side, though the painting doesn't have the same perspective. You know, just a minor detail.
The watercolor fluids are awesome, I would love to see if they can interact with the texture of the image, I think there was a tut about that.
Congrats.

Re: Ovn1's 2 cents

Ah yes, the angle with spirals, not sure why as I took photo from above and normally centered
Watercolor fluids are Indeed awesome, and interact nicely with texture.
There is surely a tut about that but the best is to try: the trials and errors way :D

I made another quick/dirty doodle on this.
Some additional paper image texure is missing but it is so easy to add with multiply/etc.

About Verve version this is simply the latest.
And yes it was Candy. My interpretation could be questioned I must admit that.

Re: Ovn1's 2 cents

Sailor is too classic! I love the way you satirized her eyes. It turned into a nice strip. So Why did you draw this? Practice and you felt like it at the time? Yours has more of a Miyazaki feel to it. :D :ob c:!

Re: Ovn1's 2 cents

Well, you certainly are bridging the gap between manga and more European styles. Funny enough, no doubt that the Japanese appear almost obsessed with the European look for some reason. I'd imagine they'd appreciate your take on it. Yours reminds me a little of the 70's style manga like "Heidi", you know, hehehe. Your watercolor simulation is second to none, really, just outstandingly convincing, as always! :ob

Re: Ovn1's 2 cents

LOL oliver
your first sketch of you trying to get the pose, I almost could say that you are mocking sailor moon xD, very hilarious indeed.
On top of your watercolor n drawing skills, those cartoons of you with your tablet show another talent by its own, great sense of humor, you did it again Oliver.
you made my day man.
