I've noticed that in some artworks the spirals are at certain angle, as if the paper were photographed a bit from the side, though the painting doesn't have the same perspective. You know, just a minor detail.
The watercolor fluids are awesome, I would love to see if they can interact with the texture of the image, I think there was a tut about that.

There is surely a tut about that but the best is to try: the trials and errors way

I made another quick/dirty doodle on this.
Some additional paper image texure is missing but it is so easy to add with multiply/etc.

Another manga like quick drawing (still not sure why I choose this subject)…

Sailor is too classic! I love the way you satirized her eyes. It turned into a nice strip. So Why did you draw this? Practice and you felt like it at the time? Yours has more of a Miyazaki feel to it.

Well, you certainly are bridging the gap between manga and more European styles. Funny enough, no doubt that the Japanese appear almost obsessed with the European look for some reason. I'd imagine they'd appreciate your take on it. Yours reminds me a little of the 70's style manga like "Heidi", you know, hehehe. Your watercolor simulation is second to none, really, just outstandingly convincing, as always!
