Re: EB Verve Painter

@zero better call it Pixel Art http://polycount.com/discussion/120427/pixel-art/p20 as it is extremely difficult to create descent pictures.
Have you ever tried to draw a smilie at 15x17 pixel, like the we you are using here all the time.
Eye opener!

Anyway, that can't be the target, but overall this resolution discussion is useless in the moment.
There is nothing we can do except waiting or switching to another program.
I pretty much agree with tartan. If you want to go bigger but want to have verve possibilities, start in verve and upscale later for detailing.
Not satisfying but that's it.
Or hack verves code and program it by yourself.
As long as taron won't develop it further on, there won't be any changes and he is more than aware of the resolution issue.
It's up to him.

There is nothing one can adjust in verve.
Maybe, and that's just a maybe as I haven't tried it, you can give verve a bit more punch here: (I just took a random pic to find an English windows, so nothing about SLI ;) )
Image

There you can add verve and put it on maximum power - don't know if that will change anything but it's the only idea I have.

@Tartan - ahh good to remind you that I got Sketchbook and Designer 2014 somewhere.
I tried to paint in PS yesterday. For environment is cool, but for nice blending, sticky, slow and awful.
Haven't found something decent to paint with there

Re: EB Verve Painter

But what we will see in some years? If GPU will be much more better - much more VRAM ;) - I hope also that verve will be better and better, but yes Verve is made by only one developer, hmmm

Re: EB Verve Painter

thx Taron, please Taron would it be too difficult to add a "Brightness Knob" in next Verve version?
btw I believe in last Verve version, the *.vrs files have been improved, aren't they? anyway I saw they don't record the state of the DRYING (On or Off) is it that on purpose?
thx advanced.

Brightness for what? Color mixing or general adjustment?
General adjustments are easily and much more precisely done with CTRL+L and luminosity. For one or all layers. Pretty awesome, just check it out.

Re: EB Verve Painter

Hi Knacki,
I mean the Verve Color Pallete knobs, not general adjustment, but just for adjusting the color you paint with
"Brightness Knob", like the "Saturation Knob" n "RGB Knobs" that are already implemented in Verve, Taron just skiped the "Brightness Knob" n "Hue Knob", but the "Hue knob" can be somehow spared cuz we have "RGB knobs" but imho the "Brightness Knob" is really important. I know there is a Brightness Thresshold in the top part of the Color Pallete, but it doesn't behave as a Knob in the way you can click n drag it a bit to tweak it a bit.
Let's turn the Knobs.
Please Taron, thx advanced.

Re: EB Verve Painter

Workaround but go on this page:
https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_hsl.asp

There you'll find any color picking and color theme intelligence thinkable ... almost ;)
Hold alt in verve and hoover around you can pick any color on screen.

Just a workaround ;) It's not, that I would use that as it's always better to stay inside verve imho.
So yes, a brightness knob would be cool. Maybe on new interface..once.

Re: EB Verve Painter

Thanks Ovn1 hope to see more of your artwork.
Thanks Knacki,
I remember those html color palettes you showed to me a while ago when I asked for a "Saturation/Brightness - Hue" pallete (PS or ARG like) for Verve.
using that workaround will definitely slow me down, perhaps if I could get that "S/B-Hue" Pallete but as an little floating program (a little exe, a portable perhaps), it would be faster.
Do you know any of that kind, thanks advanced man.
PD: perhaps C++ Verve's new interface could take a kinda long time to be released, so adding a Brightness Knob to current Verve interface seems to be more suitable. I think.

Re: EB Verve Painter

Hahaha - as I am not taron and not conected to verve, I can afford this comment:

Dear Eduardo.

posting one half ready picture after months - it must have you extremely slowed down.
Seriously - I see your point and it will truly make it easier to precisely control color. It is super basic and will be implemented...or not... I just don't expect anything in the moment.
Me, personally I would see it like this, if I would be in tarons situation. (but I am not that generous)
"I am offering a free program, almost don't get any donations or pictures done with my prog but a serious bunch of requests on daily basis, wtf??? :D"
But that is my personal opinion.
Especially you seems to stop yourself being creative in looking for missing features.

I am only trying to say one thing, Eduardo:
Stop missing, start discovering!

We want to see your pics!! :D
