ok I did these in PS, but I kept in mind to paint them later in Verve, so I restricted my self to the 2500 px x 2500 px aprox, that's why I used the poses on knees, so the body occupies less canvas space in order to get a little bit more resolution.
These "on knees" poses got many foreshortenings, that's why I used PS for the drawing since not even AR has the same transform capabilities as PS, like deform, warp (not the PS liquify but the PS warp that has an editable frame), puppet warp, etc. I find those tools speed up the drawing process a lot in these sort of tricky poses, in my opinion tweaking things are one of the best advantages of the digital realm.
I joined a couple of refs, a bit of my mind, and some mirror help to build each of these poses.

Hope to find time to end these.
As always any advice or correction is very welcome! I think the forearms that are closest to the floor in both poses need a bit more curvature,

Great continuation! :ob
Existing warp in Verve could help, but mesh grids (as visible in PS free transform/Warp or Clip Studio Mesh Transformation) seem more accurate and reliable.
I know this has been discussed in "suggestions" topic, with scaling.
Maybe this will come to Verve one day...

About your lastest drawings, I do not see anything wrong!
The poses are incredibly tricky but your figures are very solid!
Mmmmh maybe the little finger on the floor... but if your reference is like that what can I say?

Hey Ed,

I have to agree with Ovn1. Very solid and very careful execution of that pose. I should attempt that one in 3d but it can become tricky requiring a lot of adjustment and looking at all sides. I think you have pretty much succeeded here. The drawing style reminds me of several top pro comic artists. Jean Paul Mobius Girard had a number of drawing styles. I am thinking his famous western called Blueberry. These are very clean. If you were actually using them in a project of that type next would be inking. Here of course you can just dive into the paint. c:!

Occasionally I do some illustration tasks at work,
last week we received the visit of a group of students/teachers from Nevada due to an academic exchange,
boss ask me to do some caricatures, but I did portraits first c:!
so these were quick line drawing portraits of 5 people, 15 minutes each, and a second round of 5 minutes each one again in order to do some fixes,
but I took them pictures and then brought the psd home, and spent from fifteen mins to one hour each to get sort of satisfied with the line work.
Jack was the one that I did best in the original live session (almost not changed at home) and Mary was the one that didn't end up so well
Anyway, I really got costume to the cintiq 24 at work with 2nd gen pen, now I'm having troubles returning to my intuos 5 at home.
I used PS cuz that was the software available at work, though I have to say that its transform tools helped me bit. Any advice is very welcome.

Pretty well done!
Drawing portraits of 5 people, 15 minutes each, sounds like a good drawing workout. Good idea for sure ;)

15 + 5 mins for each in the live session,
but then those artworks were additionally "upgraded" 30-60 mins each at home from photos taken :ud:

Long time no see

Hope you all fellow comrades and your families are with good health in these difficult times.
I got a little free time, this was done between last night, and this morning, using the v0.99v.18a,
some many thing I got to rediscover about painting in Verve, I found myself changing too many times the BuildUp parameter,
I'm still suffering with the BGs, I'm trying to replicate a dry brush that doesn't totally covers the white canvas with no success.
I'm sure the day after tomorrow I'm going to see this wip very different due to my eyes are gonna rest of it. But anyway I'll take the risk of posting it now, cuz...
I just wanted to send my regards to you fellow comrades, to the latinamerican ones, the european ones, and to all of you fellow artists, take care, stay home.

PD: When you flip the canvas horizontally, then continue painting with the canvas flipped, and then try to resize the canvas, it resizes it to the wrong direction.

Why did you bury your post Ed? I had to look way down to find it but it was worth the effort. The subject is very thoughtful and a reflection of these strange times. Beautifully done as always. Stay safe. c:! c:! :)
