I allways have wished Verve proyect all the best
I'm sorry I've allways have had a very critic sense
n I've applied it to my artwork, to the Verve forum people artwork, n yes, to Verve as a program too.
but I trully believe I've allways done it with the best intensions
In the beginning, I wanted to know what could be accomplished with Verve, what it would be like, then I realized
The truth is the curve is too steep, n currently I'm not up to colaborate with the Verve proyect as much as I would like
I mean, imho I know I could do many portraits with the res I have,
but currently I'm trying very hardly to scape from my comfort zone,
I have to get done full composition paintings before this quarter is over, so I have to use the tools available at the time.
is just that I thought I could colaborate with my thoughts n insides of traditional painting, I guess I was wrong.

No worries, Ed! When the time comes, I'm sure you'll find your way back to Verve. I love your style and consistency and will be very happy to one day meet some of your fundamental expectations. ;)

I have to say I am dismayed at this  Ed, I think you have made some good suggestions along the way but reading this last post gives me insight into your driving need and urgency. First thing prioritize two things: Relax. I understand now what you meant when you posted to me "impressive abstracts Tartan, high contrasted n kinda hue inverted colors, Verve posibilities are endless I see when I visit this forum I want to enter a room wherein the time doesn't run at all xD," Just slow down and drag out art rage to accomplish your goals this quarter and use tools as needed. If you feel that one program to do an aspect of your work then use that and switch between programs to get the effects you want. Don't Panic! You have the talent and skills needed. The main thing is to keep working on your projects and Enjoy it. You love art too much to wrestle with your obvious talent. let it flow. This you can do I Know c:! c:!

Thanks Tartan, u know...
I feel I have a support in this forum, we are people listening each other, (the only other forum where I felt like this was closed many many years ago)
Hope this site could last 20000 years, a place for artists to share their guts n ideas(read it ideals).
Even if we are restrained to life silly unworthy facts, I think, we(creatives) open a little window that let people really see, n really breath.
thx again man.

long time no post, but I really wanted to do so, at least one for Septemverve

fluids on last version(Verve_painter v0.99v.38) are kinda sticky, they sort of smear(in a blurry way) instead of smudging,
and I constantly found myself increasing the Fluid Smudge Knob at maximum in order to get non-sticky strokes.
at first I thought it was just me, that I would get costume again, since long time not verving, that's why this portrait started very rough
but then I switched back to version v0.99v0.17, and I noticed the difference.
Please Taron hope you could look to the fluid difference between those versions, and perhaps add the soo wanted brightness knob that could be turned on the fly, and a presets GUI.
In my way of painting turning the knobs several times between strokes could be replaced by just picking presets buttons, increasing the workflow speed greatly

The new color correction is really magic, though I didn't find how to use its +layer option.
thx again Taron for such a wonderfull program

Welcome back Ed :bounce: Glad to see you posting  This is a very strong portrait. It has a great historical appeal to me with the Japanese helm. Man you guys are getting me inspired again. c:! I need to get off my thumbs but have a few more home projects to complete. I love this style of yours.
