After all these crits - zero almost none in this forum is planing so complex scenes as you do.
And it is super difficult.

Seeing your overall progress is just a question of time until you will outperform the great masters Well, maybe some of them.
Btw. I have been to a conference last year and saw two different talks. One about outstanding short "Piper" from Pixar by Ecik Smitt, one about light as a storytelling part of shows.
Both started with the old masters. Both named caravaggio

As you are brave enough to do such complex scenes, maybe you wanna look a bit at those old arrangements.
Something I also want to do, but never did, is inverse storyboarding. Looking at a movie you like and make storyboard pictures for it. There are some unbelievable good compositions to discover
