Re: First painting - still life study

Congratulations! I just wrote you a nice reply, but somehow the forum got overrun and the message got lost... :(
Ah well, no less, I'm happy for you and enjoy what you've written. It's very much after my own heart. I feel guilty for hoping you'll spend some more time with Verve, but I wouldn't want to take a way a minute of your motivation to get outdoors instead, hehe.

Anyway, congrats again and what fantastic paintings, too! You are getting me really excited! :D

Re: First painting - still life study

Taron,

I have a question for you.. while I'm painting, my color is fading in the image? (I have dry set to ON) and I haven't worked on this particular area (sky) in over an hour-- it used to be a solid light blue color.. and now the color has faded? Am I doing something wrong -- what can I do to avoid this? (I dont' want my color gradually changing over time)

here is the image:

Re: First painting - still life study

Huh... is that the latest version?
You can send me the project, too, either to my email or through some link!

I should also add that it still looks amazing!!! :D  I mean the painterly quality of it. Who would guess that that was a computer painting!?
However, we will figure this out together! It's weird. I haven't done any long term studies, really...but within one hour to have stuff like that happen. I'm very curious already! :|

I can send you the project file (let me know the best way to handle this).. I also did a time lapse capture (to show the process) and you can clearly see this fading over time.. (?)

here is the link to the Artwork -- with time lapse:

Re: First painting - still life study

At the bottom of my website you will find my email address. If it is smaller than 40mb you can send it attached to an email, or you could use wetransfer.com, which is brilliant for that stuff, too!

Oh man, looking at the time laps... this looks as if you were merging the layers over and over, somehow. Which is weird. I have no idea, yet, what it is, but hopefully looking at your project will help!? :?

I really, really want to make you happy with Verve, haha, because you are for sure one of the prime artists I am hoping to reach with it, or rather hoping to make happy. So, rest assured, I'll do everything in my power to see that this thing will be solved!!! :geek:

Re: First painting - still life study

thanks-- I'll send you the file now (FYI -- this was ALL done with 1 single layer) -- no other layers were used/merged
