It's gonna be one of my favorite threads for sure! :D
Man, the atmosphere in the landscape... it means a lot, when you can almost taste the air! Love it! :D

I also totally love that you make it feel like a piece of canvas that's not yet framed. It's kind of ingenious!

Here is landscape study #2 (70 min painting) -- altering the style/technique a bit (going for looser/abstract approach)

Man, Chad, you are showing me the power of Verve by the power of your art and understanding. I'm so drawn to those clouds somehow, it's weird. I just woke up, but my eyes are pulled straight to the fluffy cloud on to sky's golden cut to the left. It's like an irresistible magnet.

However, I'd love to sit with you and watch you work. Hmmm, or the next best thing, a nice video, maybe with some thoughts of yours talked out loud, hehe, that would be awesome!

Thank you so much, I'm so happy you're here! :D

oh...you so rock! I'm so full of joy right now, thanks, Chad!
You know, it feels as though you've been painting with Verve for ever, haha. I'm thoroughly impressed by that and oddly proud! :)
I wrote a comment on your youtube clip, I'm sure you've found it already. But, yeah, brilliant choice of music. Reminds me of an arrangement in one of my songs, although mine is not as calm and relaxing...just reminded me (piano, muted trumpet...eh...that's about it, haha) "One of those trips".

When I drove up to Zagreb recently, it was a gorgeously complicated weather with loads of clouds and sun, wind and rains...everything, and I observed the landscape with Verve/painting in mind. It's such a difference when you look at the real thing with your own eyes, relax and imagine how to reproduce the look of bushes, trees, clouds, reduce them to strokes, observe the lighting, haze... as great as mimicking some concept design methods may be, they don't get you that connection and understanding of a certain "simplicity" of reality in some distance.
I'd love to go on some painting trips with ya', really. The landscape here in Croatia would drive you nuts, too, I'm sure! ...it's so beautiful!

Again, thank you so much, what a cool session!
