Re: Pulse's explorations

Let's see if I can get my chit together today, Okay here is some new work. See lower jaw and below chin for new work. I will at some time today begin serious surface coverage with scales. I think I am ready to rock it. It is sort of like getting the hard steps and perimeter out of the way, like putting tile down on a floor, maybe.

Re: Pulse's explorations

Not too much done, but more above upper lip. Ultimately once I have it scaled, I will add texture, lighting and such stuff.

Re: Pulse's explorations

Combining all the stages into an animated GIF will later be a really fun thing, I'm sure! :D
Coming from tatoos, you have a certain way of going at details that makes subjects such as this Iguana a really big enterprise. May we'll have a look at some alternative approaches, too, which would greatly benefit from your attention to detail and fantastic patience.
This is an exciting project! 8-)

Re: Pulse's explorations

Mr. Mac Daddy Blue Iguana is coming to life a little more today. Thanks for the good vibes everyone. Filling in above lip today. Next working on lower jaw. I just spent more time looking at the many artists galleries on this forum and there is so much talent here it is crazy. You are all creating such variety with Verve - it is amazing and diverse and an inspiration.
Long live art and artist in all realms and disciplines! :D

Re: Pulse's explorations

Limping back in, too much distractions lately, but I channeled and worked a bit, I need to get back in the digital groove. ;)OOps I hit sharpen in Photoshop out of "creature of habit" memory making size change as jpeg to post. Nuts!

Adding leaves and flowers. Next scales, and work up final art. Then play with lighting....

Re: Pulse's explorations

I just do it all in Verve - beginning to end, so what that resolution is what it is. But when I reduce to post, I hit sharpen once in Photoshop because it is so small in a post. See next post for new edits, and thanks.
