And really good doodle.. BW (rather BG black-grey in this case) has its magic, isn´t it? Welcome Xormak!

Btw Texture on the skirt is very interesting!

Re: Xormak's doodles

Really nice, X! In that genre, gender seems very unclear anyway, haha! :D
You really come in with a strong style and very unique! c:!
Feels like he/she is leaning quite a bit. Try flipping the image every now and then [F6] to check for balance.
If you wanted to use the warp mode to tweak a bit, I find it best to turn of Texture for that [t] and use either brush#6 or #1 with a low bias and really big brush size to carefully nudge stuff a bit.
But it's a fantastic start for your gallery thread! :ob

Successful debut Xormak! I tend to think this one is a she. We cant see some of her more "defining" attributes behind the armor c:! :D Tell your teacher I said that a handful of minutes is not enough time to see the possibilities that Verve creates. Tell him/her to take a close look at Taron's Spock picture and the summation of it's making. It's such a powerful tool geared towards the artist :ob c:!

Different style choice for a small school project :)

Conclusion: Verve can definitely be used for cartoony illustrations tho, the workflow and as i mentioned in another thread, the preassure control could be refined.

PS hopefully i will soon pump out some more painted stuff.

PPS: Taron, please find a new way to remove layers ;) I have to resize the window just to do that :/

Re: Xormak's doodles

How about [shift]+[delete] ;) :ugeek:

Also, for cartoon styles you may want to switch the paint mode to (=) rather than (>). That's the little button next to the paint action icon. Or simply hit [m] twice to get to this mode. [m] rotates through the paint modes, you know. If you're on (=) you will have a fixed material build-up that clamps at 1.0. This will avoid the heavy streaks or excess build-up.

Cute style, by the way! c:!

For pressure control, you can always bring up your wacom properties, too, and adjust the curve there, while I work out finer controls in Verve. There are a few challenges in the fundamental behavior of Verve, making this stuff somewhat trickier than in "ordinary" painters.

Re: Xormak's doodles

Hehe nice start! c:!
About cartoony illustrations, "= mode" + "brush 6" is definitely a winning combo.
