Yes I tend to like vibrant pure tones. I don't like muddy colors. 8-)

Thanks I am addicted to Tarons wonderful software. I use it every day. What I love most about Verve is how it can surprise you. I think it's software only a Artist could have created. A software programmer and a Artist what a combo!!. I love the custom brushes I must have about 500 by now. A KILLER feature would be if they supported transparency. I read yesterday I think from yourself that you can export a layer with transparency alpha channel but of course it is static and can't be used within Verve as a brush. I have a work around by altering the transparency on the layer I am using the brush, but often it just fades the brush. Sometimes certian brushes have pretty neat effects though. I notice when you adjust transparency the darker hues become transparent first leaving just the lighter hues which makes for interesting effects.
I just posted a new image using some of the custom brushes I have created.

Yes all done in Verve some of the earler things were done in Artrage. I did use some of the early images by importing them into Verve and making custom brushes out of them. One thing I like to do is just mess around in Verve not to try to make something just play with it. Sometimes I will see something I like even through the rest of the image is crap. I export a image bring it back into Verve and make a custom brush of the bit I liked. Then I paint with that. Sometimes what I paint with that brush creates something even more interesting. So I repeat the process and make a brush out of that!
I call it painting with a painting. c:!

Here must be a misunderstanding.
Brushes support transparency if is transparency is there. And you can import png with transparency- alpha as well.
The difference between other progs is, that b&w pictures are not automaticly mapped to transparency for white or black. Is it that what you mean?

SHIFT+S to save active layer as png with alpha btw.
Do you know that?:

Helps sometimes, even as it is old.
