congrats man.
btw, what format are you using?
those new artworks look so big, actually I have here 2298 x 4259, is that the original resolution?
about the t-shirt, you use serigraphy? you mean you use 8 screens for serigraphy? do you mean the colors right? what were the colors?
congrats again.

Re: Artwork de K4ICY

Thanks for the nice comments Eduardo!

As far as format (?) I just prefer higher pixel depths which are good for detail.
So, for screen printing; It's pretty much serigraphy where I'll use spot color screen, composed with halftones for tonal areas, which mix to create full-color images - no four-color process.

Re: Artwork de K4ICY

Hi K4ICY,

you used spot colors (like pantone) in halftones, so u didn't used CMYK at all? I just was wondering, did you use 8 colors in total? I mean did u tinted eight times each t-shirt?
Sorry if it's too much to ask, I'm just particulary interested in the process, I teach prepress, thanks advanced.

Re: Artwork de K4ICY

Eduardo,
Yes, here is one example which I found on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWN-iR83Jj8
"Simulated Process" is kind of a misnomer. Four-color (CMYK) "Process" uses four subtractive (transparent) inks to create the illusion of more colors. Spot colors (regular plastisol inks) are generally opaque, but not completely as some formulations and colors use varying quantities of other pigments such as transparent glass particles, titanium oxide, carbon and etc. With spot colors, the additional simulated colors are more a result of mixing as each ink as the squeegee applies them to the garment substrate on the pallet and is added rather than a subtraction of light spectrum.
Therefore, images with numerous integral color quantities can be simulated using very few colors.

You can experiment with this process yourself by taking a full-color image in Photoshop and converting the image mode to 'Indexed' color, except use a 'custom' palette of just a few colors which should be chosen as being the most prominant and useful within the image.

Sorry for the confusion, if any, as this can get a bit technical.

Katie: Kitten Tamer

[I batted around with this one for over six months, but mostly because there was so much going on, from a move to being the only artist for a company enjoying its best year so far.
By the way, for some reason the Verve site is blocked by some end-point server-base antivirus which didn't help things. But yes! I still use Verve quite often for work and for pleasure.]

This painting depicts my ever-talented sweetheart soothing the savage inhabitants of the land of the incredibly large and wild house cats. :ob ...these are our own beloved house kitties; Sam, an orange tabbie, पृक्ष (Priksa - A Sanskrit word for 'spotted') an Egyptian Mau, and Черный a mischievous, secret agent tuxedo guy, (all named from left to right respectively.)

I had it digitally printed on a stretched canvas measuring 42 x 30 and a nice metal frame is being fabricated for it as I speak.
