About 3d glasses - I just applied in a crappy way some sort of filter to image to add sort of chromatic aberration to it. Instead in a hurry I created more like eye distraction I guess :D
And those black background smears with color stripes - how did I missed those. I was at another monitor working. hey just went unnoticed to me.

Jim's drawing reminded me of some ancient Chinese like painting due to some reasons.

Hehe, yeah, especially on "paintings" you probably won't want to use chromatic aberration, because it's not a photographic issue. It may only end up looking a bit like a miss-print. :P
I don't mind the stripes, hehe, give it character. I'm wondering, if I should put the default hue variation on brush #9 to zero, rather.

Sorry for disturbing, but this circling stuff is sometimes not too easy for those left behind.
No, no. No worries. Now I am feeling better ;)

Oh, Knacki, that reminds me of the introduction for "sketch of the week"! 8-)
Awesome! I particularly like the realism of the tree trunk itself. Fantastic! And a beautiful use of the fluids, of course.

Here comes elements of Supernatural.

Knacki, you made my day. This is not so much a tree anymore as a character with a whole story hidden behind it!I sooo much enjoy when artists touch upon genre of Horror/Supernatural.

You just look how this tree is screaming! Eeeaarrrrgggghhh. And spits out poor eaten souls mixture.

Poor fellows. Hard to say how they feel.

Yes, Sir, Anything You Say, Sir !
I have to mention that some few details, precisely the leaves of the big trees, have been done in Phothoshop, where I used a leaves-brush because I felt too lazy to draw them all one by one  Everything else has been made possible thanks to the wonderful Verve !

Grrrrrrr... ...alright, already, I'll think of something fun for brushes like that! :P
I do completely understand and had planned early on for those sorts of things, but it really requires a decent dedicated interface section and I still didn't get to those... ...but I will...and then: NO MORE PHOTOSHOP (except for saving decent jpegs...damned...  )
Why are you guys putting two "sketches of the week" into one thread, hahahaha!? Unbelievable stuff! I'm so proud now! :D

Here is my take on "The Tree of Life"

worked with the grid .... wished when flipping the canvas the grid would flip with it ...
