AHhh, Virtual ANS is totally awesome! :bounce:

The pixitracker is cute, but eh... not really the most pleasant or elegant tool, I think. But it works. :)
ANS, however, is totally amazing and exciting to play with! I downloaded both right away...couldn't resist!
THANKS, Zero!!! :ob

Re: What's your favourite LowBudget, Freeware, OpenSource Pr

I will try to made some nice wav-files with Virtual ANS too, and put them later too musagi / or sunvox
these sounds are like from old russian/soviet SF-Movies or old SF-American Movies, from the 50's/60's/70's and early 80's c:!

apropos MUSAGI, not every WAV Format is accepted, dear Taron ... but with OcenAudio (Audacity is also nice), I found out, that the WAV-Files should have the pcm tag :ob .. if they are wrong converted some WAV Files are not running in MUSAGI.

Ahhh, its not software, but http://www.looperman.com, there are a lot of nice samples/loops of (nearly) all kind of sounds/instruments    and its growing up by a community :) .. and MP3 => WAV I use Ocenaudio ...

ps. Whats happening with VIRTUALDUB? There are no updates since a year. VIRTUALDUB + with the XVID Codec is a nice small programm for a movie-workflow.

Re: What's your favourite LowBudget, Freeware, OpenSource Pr

I hardly ever use samples and the wav stuff is still from the old musagi. I love using the synths to make everything, which is why I reworked both synths (XNES and CHIP- which became radically new after I was done with it!) and added the "Phys". If you check out my songs, you'll find that I rarely use any samples, only occasionally the drums. But even those I rather do totally synthetic.
That's also why I'm excited about Sunvox, which seems pretty awesome, but I can already tell that it's not quite good enough in the synth-department. But- hey- it's exciting anyway! :D
