Actually this appears to use the same process, but allows larger resolutions

Not a favourite for sure, but I really like the brush for quick silhouette concepts.

ALT+Drag
https://stefansundin.github.io/altdrag/

A little but very useful utility to organize your windows.
ALT+LMB Click anywhere on a window do move it ALT+MMB to resize
As it is set to ALT+Drag by default, you maybe wanna change this to windows key + drag, as ALT is used in most programs.

This and 4 other useful tips including PureRef have been shown by Flipped Normals here:

I have to admit, that I am using screenhunter free 6.0 instead of lightbox for screenshots.
Even in free version, you can once define a folder where to safe all pictures. Give them names and incremental numbers.
Everytime you make a screenshot, it is immediatly saved into that folder.
In Lightbox you always have to press CTRL+S....

Same with pureRef. It is under development and gaining more and more functionality, but Kuadro is still my fav.

TreeIt: Free Tree Generator ( only Windows) - Export OBJ, dbo, x (for Dark Basic) ;)

http://www.evolved-software.com/treeit/treeit

also a texture tool! http://www.evolved-software.com/texturetool/texturetool

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z03lgdb_x14

No need to press the "Generate" button unless you put branches and leaves! :ugeek:

And you can of course load any PNG images with transparent background as "leaves"!
(even if not indicated in the drop-down menu files)

If you want to put native dds formats (Direct Draw Surface) you will have to use PaintNet to create some!

Re: What's your favourite Freeware, OpenSource Progz?

Good find, pilou!

I discovered and finally understood somehow how GarageBand is working.
It‘s a free music studio for IOS and OS.
I am pretty excited about the easy functionality.
Plenty of live loops are included and a bunch of others are there for free download.
Massive.
I am not much into music making but this is just fun.
And the mic on iPhone or iPad let you record voices or sounds on the fly.
It‘s not professional but a lot of musicians use it for quick layouts everywhere they go.
The easy step into with liveloops

And a more advanced way using the touch instruments

Have fun :)
