Re: White Rabbit CAD

Oh, you only "think" it freezes, but it's not like the software crashed?!
I still haven't managed to reproduce a hang of it... :|

Re: White Rabbit CAD

When you see this message
after 10 minutes of calculate when you have tried to enter a simple number like 18.39 for a simple curve SPline length
i believe that you can say there is something wrong somewhere!
It's not a crash, not a real freezzing but...can't make anything inside the prog...

Re: White Rabbit CAD

That is definitely "Hanging" for sure! :o
But...still....HOW?
So you have not tried to record this, just so I can replicate your procedure. Just do it right before the "deadly" move, you know.

Re: White Rabbit CAD

Bingo!
- New session (not the Menu New - a new launch of the prog from my desk shortcut)
- Draw a Tailor spline normally with moving the central handle : ok (was maybe like 12.12 )
- Launch the Gifcam reccorder ( a mini free cool one that i made the French manual) ;)
- Press the Line Button (for close previous Bezier function)
- Press the Bezier Button
- Draw the curve line 17.71
- Write 1818 then Enter for validate
Blue circle spinning and message above posted when I want stop the process! (5 seconds or 10 minutes after)
et voilà !
No Shift used No other thing drawn or made just that you show on the video and actions writed on my text above!
Snap Button Shown enabled but not pressed
No other progs runs in the same time except my Opera Navigator (with only Verve Forum open)

The 3 divisible number is a practical trick for remember something ...and test some crazzy progs! ;)

Quasi sure that drawing the first curve is not necessary but as each time i made that i continue by habit ! :)

Sure i can move the general handle first but no law existing for that!
Alas a prog must be maximum overlocked for anything made (or not made) by the user! :geek:
I told you that i am a disaster as Beta tester and formidable bugs hunter!

Re: White Rabbit CAD

But you DID enter the number while the curve was still just a straight line!
Ok, I will simply deactivate the number input as long as the curve is straight, very good! :ob

Re: White Rabbit CAD

Nope, I cannot reproduce it! I even noticed you were using shift to lock the direction. Done that, too... no hanging after entering new values.
But, it's anyway a good idea to lock the input when it makes no sense! :ob

Re: White Rabbit CAD

Tehehe, that's so amazing. I don't get the bug, BUT I'm just amazed at what it can do. I made a tiny bump in the curve and then set it to 2000. This takes about 2 or 3 seconds, but then it jumps there and does it. It actually does it. After that, if you go for smaller values, it's instantly and consistently, too. I mean...have you ever seen any software deal like that with curves?!? It's too darn cool, hehe! 8-) :hyper:
