Hey Taron,
I saw in a previous post that you have a cintiq companion and that you don't like it. Verve has given me the itch to get a cintiq to replace my aging wacom. I don't want to hijack this thread but what is it you don't like about it? I'm guessing part of it is that the companion is woefully underpowered in the graphics dept. and that on it's own Verve may either not run at all or horribly slowly, am I close? What is it like connected to your PC, are there still things that annoy you about it?!
I remember trying the older 12 inch one 5 or so years ago and not liking it that much, I was bugged by the cursor offset from the pen tip and the weird inaccuracies when you got towards the edges of the screen. I also thought the screen itself was of terrible quality, dull and with muddy colours (slow response rate too it seemed). Have things improved recently? Wacom used to be my favourite tech company but it seems like ever since touchscreens came into vogue they've started slipping down the slope to oblivion. Having never used a newer cintiq (it is hard to find a demo unit to try) I can't help but imagine that all the new 'touch' features are going to feel wonky and unresponsive compared to an iPad for example. Also with all these different versions on sale it is just muddying the waters even further imho!
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
BTW, just noticed that have been 2 new versions of Verve made available for download since I downloaded it the other day! WOW, who says Christmas only comes once a year! It comes every time a new version comes along!!! Thanks so much.
Cheers
