Hello Taron and Taronites! I downloaded Verve last night. I thought it was a beautiful art program. Now this being said, I go to load it up today after work and it vanished from its location. ok Odd I thought. I went to go reopen the rar file and nothing with extract. huh I thought..... I ran a virus scan on it through Avast. Not a free scanner, but one I have purchased. One that many trust. the odd thing is... I ran it through last night before I installed verve. Passed clean. I ran the rar again today..... fail. How very odd. I am now running my system through a deep scan to see if I am infected now. Anyone else have this happen? What on Earth would cause the program to delete itself?? The shortcut for Verve on my desktop was still there. Just missing the path to the program. My only guess is somehow the program attracts a virus or has a hidden virus that assembles after running the rar file once. on

Taron, I am not going to blame ya bud, but somehow I think a virus is attaching itself to you cool program. I will edit this post when i get the results of my deep scan.I am sorry man.

I forgot to mention i am running windows on a laptop.

ok my deep virus scan is now Done.

here is a pic of the result

I let avast purge the file.

I do hope you find what is triggering virus scanners. There must be some type of coding that resembles malware. maybe how you are handling GPU drivers. I know little not being a Coder. just 3d artist.

I will keep posted to see if someone has an answer to the vanishing location. :o

I think it's how I handle the window or the file IO. It's really not clear to me, but it sure is ridiculous. I wished there was some easy answer to find, but I'll have to keep digging. For now I can only assure you that there's no virus attached. You could be so kind to report a "false positive" to Avast, so they can run it through their lab to confirm that it is in fact harmless. ...what a weird curve-ball that all is.

Thanks, though, and I'm sorry you had to go through all that. :|

Anyway, I'll keep trying! But now I want to see your desktop background! ... looks nice! :)
