Verve burns my paint :(

Image says it all

Image

The yellow line is there to show how dark the dark is : I can't do a thing about it. A ctrl-z can... If Im fast enough (due to only 1 per layer) if not, it's fucked.
Tho, when I save to PNG and re-open it gets a full blank white zone on which I can repaint. Not ultimatly undoable then, but pretty uncomfortable because it may occur a lot during the same painting.

My config has changed (I'm going right away to my profile changing it)
(it's a bit weak I know)

windows 8.1 64bits
I7
GTX 840M 4Go
8Go Ram
(no SSD)

Oh god, that old crappy bug...man, I should just release the temp version I made damn near a year ago. It had that problem fixed as well.
Hmmm... this stuff could have happened, when you used pen pressure on opacity with brush #9. OpenGL didn't like tiny movements for a line (within a pixel) which has to blend between different alpha values from start and end point (both being in the same place). It freaks out and creates this negative alpha values that were sending Verve into a minor tantrum. I'm not sure anymore what I did to fix this in a painting, but there was a way. It might have been with layers, like adding a layer underneath and laying down some paint behind those places and then merging or so... or a layer above and merge it down... I just forgot.
However, future versions will not have that stupid problem anymore. I'm really sorry about the mess you ran into.

Again, the issue is related to pen pressure on opacity, if I remember correctly. And it's movement related then. Since only very specific circumstances can make this happen, it's something you can kind of avoid right now, but it's really a shame... ...grrrrr...I might have to do a stupid release, which I wanted to avoid, but it would certainly be nice of me. So many things I had fixed, including saving large images and I believe a few minor compatibility things with other card vendors (Intel and AMD).

I'm too busy right now, though... maybe in a few weeks.

Well I gonna try to dig in this, I mean to see if it's really specific to this brush with this config (It probably is as you said, I mean you know your soft :D )

If it's just that, don't worry I'll get pass this with no problem, I just freaked out in the first place, I should've troubleshoot this.
Don't be ashamed man, I don't know a lot of people managing to complete so many different works at the same time, you roxx

Phewww... :)
Sometimes it's tough for me to find the right words to describe properly what I feel, but I'll try: I love your attitude and understanding and you're making me very happy with both! :)
They're both extremely healthy, too, by the way! :ugeek: :ob

Hey Taron
If you have a bug fix version already made…..
why not roll it out ? Wheres the harm in it?
Bug fixes, larger file saving etc , these small things would be muchly appreciated !
There is no expectations of new features. Don't even change the number.
Sounds like it could be while before Verve ala C+++++++ rolls out
:)
