Re: Feedback for v0.99v...

Ahm, a great deal of control is planned for the real brush interface, which is yet to come. However, currently it's a little weird, as it kinda is spacing, but almost a kind of compromise. The BRISTLES parameter really set by its (inverse*brush size) the spacing, but it only measures it at each update and only places one stipple when the distance to the last is greater than the spacing, not placing multiple stipples. When you move the brush fast, you'll see the gap widen, but if you move it slow, it will be kind of consistent.

Later on I will risk the multiple stipples, but under bad circumstances this could alter the behavior of the brush and verve dramatically...potentially. We shall see.

Awesome!

So lovely. 4 Min and you already got this amount of hell of work looking strokes:

Or 1min Watersurface:

The only negative thing is, that the add layer crash is back.
Experienced it twice with default resolution 1280x720 and five layers or so. Nothing fancy.
I lost my fence image brush set 10 min. ago :( But so much fun :)

Re: Feedback for v0.99v...

Well, when you're making brushes, it might be a good idea not to risk anything by using lots of layers before saving?!
You know, it's a great call, though. I somehow think I fixed it in the total rework version I had started, so I could have a closer look again, see what's going on. :? :geek:

Re: Feedback for v0.99v...

I think, I fixed it again! Layer adding should now never crash again! :ugeek:
...but the next version will have quite a bunch of fixes and improvements and if I truly get it together, it will have another really nice addition! 8-)

Re: Feedback for v0.99v...

Is the fix downloadable or will it come with the new features you talked about?

Re: Feedback for v0.99v...

It's still to come, so hang in there!
I keep pulling myself around the code, finding little things here and there that peak my interest, while I really want to put in this rather "big"(important) thing now that I'm on. It will be quite nice. :)
