Thank you! You can get the issue if you save your brush in Verve and load it again..

Strange, i just tried and load VRI works on my card.
A small one on my side: when painting on first canvas position, then ctrl+P to change canvas mode, then erase all => the first painting still appears like an ectoplasm. You need to cycle ctrl+P again until to 1st mode to be able to erase.

By the way, BEAUTIFUL COTTON CANVAS for oil painting
And manual selection of one image brush among many is a keeper

Oh, yeah, I defaulted it to the "2nd" canvas texture, which just feels more like a real canvas. After that comes the layer material capture canvas, hehehe, that would be the molten plasma, hahahaha... it's your painting!
Then comes the old mode, which is really mode 0.
0 = old fractal noise
1 = new canvas texture (DEFAULT)
2 = capture layer material

BTW I very welcome a new option - set active image brush!

Yeah, I still have to change the vri format to remember which image was used last, just to make it a bit more elegant.
But then I will add a whole set of new functionality shortly anyway.

Knacki, yeah, that was the problem. In the old system I could set the active brush image to Null and it would pick up the next image in the sequence. But now I have the = mode, which doesn't do that, creating the crash at the first run. ...me being stupid:
