Taronites

I'm running Verve on windows 10 on my mac via bootcamp. I just recently got windows so i'm not fully familiar with it yet and i'm having a sort of odd problem with Verve. aside from the slight delay which i was told to expect, the big sort of icon on the right in the brush panel won't show what brush i'm using? It shows it for two of them, actually: brushes 7 and 8, but not the rest. any ideas?

ALSO ive just realised the canvas texture looks entirely different! has anyone else run into this problem? it no longer has any of the lovely nuances it did in Taron's youtube videos its just kinda boring

Oh, welcome to the forum, nothing to worry about with your concerns!
The brush preview is temporarily off for most of the brushes.
The canvas texture has 3 modes.
Hit [Ctrl]+[P] to toggle through the modes!
- The default now is a more common canvas texture.
- The next mode actually captures the paint material you have on your canvas as texture.
- The last mode is the original fractal noise based texture.

From what I hear, bootcamp should work excellently. Looking forward to what you do with it!
Also, I'll soon update again to a proper version. This was just a little in between release.
