So great!

So good.

Dang.

Any plans for anything like the real bristle brushes in photoshop? I'm dipping into changing the brush shape but what i really want is that biz.

Again, so good, thank you. I'll post something when i can make it look better.

Re: So great!

Thanks for the happy post, wax(?)! :D
All the brush stuff is still evolving, but I think you may find that Verve's brushes will get you instantly more of a real touch than ps, hehehe, but yeah...I'm planning on doing more sophisticated brush actions all along. I just added curve interpolations for brush #6, which is still in prototype state. That's kind of the opposite of what you were asking, I'm afraid, haha, but just to illustrate the progress I'm mentioning that one.
With brush #9, as well as most others, try BIAS (the dark dial on the brush GUI), which will squeeze the brush either horizontally or vertically.

Looking forward to your first doodles! c:!

Re: So great!

HAving your own brushes is already in there, just load this brush into verve and use brush 10, you can switch between different brush images.

My only wish would be to be able to import png files as brush images cause right now you have to draw them in verve or use abr2verve which doesnt support brushes with multiple images.
If you want interestinfg texture for brush then also use brush 8, its amazing how crisp it can be sometimes.

I do think we as digital painters have this problem with real bristle brush emulation with smudge or digital photoshop custom brushes when it comes to painting software and when we encouinter one or the other then we're like this:

Haa! GReAT! That's a pretty fantastic comparison! It's stunning how "real" your Verve approach feels against PS. c:!
