Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

I am back from vacation and lots of great stuff to see! Love the progress   really cool stuff. Even if I don't understand it but it looks cool 8-) :ob ... Vervette with ZBornToy. First I thought we will get ZBornToy-Functionality within Vervette but love the old-school vibes using ZBornToy. Wonder how your paintings looked before running them through ZBornToy. And the 3D noise stuff looks stunning - looking forward to see more. c:! c:! c:!

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Welcome back!
THANK YOU! Yes, it is all getting there!
I've just done a funny thing after I got some really nice emails from Alejandro, an old Verve user, regarding my VST, "Lord of the Springs". He reminded me of using Midi for Verve, so I tried hooking it up to Vervette and it worked instantly. Now it allows the user to assign Midi controllers to parameters. I've tested it with HSL values and it's a lot of fun already! :hyper: ...kind of playful at this point, but I'll do my best to add really powerful functionality to it. :ugeek:

Was just goofing around a bit and stumbled upon a nice way to do Pud-inspired paintings:

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Hehehe, not really music, but it has been an additional thought, too. No, Midi Controller have sliders and knobs, for example, which you then can assign to parameters like color channels, hue, saturation and brightness, opacity, fluidity, whatever... it's a hardware access to those parameters. This way you could theoretically work almost entirely without a GUI, if you wanted to.
Thanks!

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Your artworks are fantastic, Taron! However, I'm unable to use Vervette Sandbox when my monitor/GPU is in pivot or portrait mode. Perhaps you could fix this issue soon? It would be greatly appreciated. Can you using your screen in pivot or portrait mode too?

I recently purchased an EIZO FlexScan EV2781-BK for a great deal (€150-200) from a returns dealer. Supposedly, it had a minor defect, but I haven't been able to find anything wrong with it so far, except for some very faint scratches that are only visible when the monitor is off and illuminated from the front with a lamp. These scratches aren't noticeable during regular use.

Why I buyed a new monitor? My TV from DYON died, so I repurposed my old 24-inch Eizo as a TV-device. With some old PC speakers, an new external satellite receiver and some cables. I've got a perfectly good setup for those rare occasions when I want to watch TV.

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Thank you, Zero!
The development version is not online and is very, very different and likely won't have a problem with that, except that I'll have to alter the GUI, I imagine. I'll have to see if Chrome can simulate that somehow?! Not sure, but I'll try. However, the canvas area is now very different and should conform to any resolution without troubles. You will not see this version for a while, though. I still have a lot to do.
