Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Thanks, Tom!
Sorry about having lost the little forest, but I'm sure it will leave you with fertile ground for whatever wishes to come there next. All the trees have left a thick network in the ground. Listen to it or observe and something wonderful will grow again.

I've got a lot of work ahead of me, but it gives me comfort to having found a more healthy direction for us to actually connect properly with the world of creators out there again. I'm actually incredibly excited, but also quite tired right this minute after a whole night without sleeping. I'm so twisted right now. :ud:

Well, I hope you get to have a few experiments with Vervette very soon, too. Once I'm through with the main framework, things should get pretty attractive! c:!

OK, ok, I have to sneak in another Sandbox doodle to make sure you don't feel alone here, Pilou, hehe! c:!

Man, I love painting with the sandbox. I need to put everything together soon, it's too exciting! :hyper:

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Cleaned up a lot of things, especially the bump mapping, the blending once more, which now is pretty much perfect, I believe. Some isolation matters of layer content versus canvas.
The next big thing will be good smudging without fluids and also the next GUI elements to control shaders. Then comes the implementation of custom shaders and various brush techniques. Currently it's only the crudest method, but it's pretty incredible, too.

Here's my doodle page from this morning...(scaled down from 2560x1440 to 1920x1080)

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

My mind immediately went to "Enterprise" with this one, Pilou, and the second thought was tree-mushrooms, hehe. Neat!

Alright, things are beginning to come together. I've successfully added smudge to the fluid-less Vervette, brilliantly working with layers and lightning fast. :hyper:

Experimenting with total smear-paint. This is essentially a smear/smudge that brings in color that decays (or unloads). Quite cool to paint with! c:!

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Hi artistic people,

Vervette is very cool idea but I have some problems using it.
The main is that having Wacom's Intuos 4 tablet, I cannot paint with it. Mouse painting works, but when choosing tablet's pen, it only moves on the screen
without effects like nice fresh paint... :( Why? Is there any "trigger" in Vervette that enables tablet painting??? :o
Verve in desktop version works OK, anyway. :O

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Thanks, Drayldan!
What Windows version are you on and what browser are you using?
Try using it with Chrome and see to disable "Windows Ink" in the wacom properties.
I have an Intuos Pro now and it works fine on Windows 7 here with Windows Ink turned off. It also works in other browsers, while Firefox can cause some weirdness with tablet stuff on Win7.
The full version of Vervette will have pen support on Win10 and IOS.
