Quite old GFX 550 Ti. Verve works like a charm!

Any idea how old it is? I'm still trying to figure out "minimum requirements", you know, hehe. I know, this is probably a weird approach, but still...

Hi Taron,

thanks for the lovely toy...(sure it's more, but I did not do more than playing  )
Thanks to Kaspersky on my workstation  , i could only try it on my mobile workstation (Norton), which is a lenovo w520, i7, 16GB Ram, Quadro 2000M with 2GB.
On high resolution & big brushes & fluidity on 100% & Fluid Smudge on 0% it is a bit laggy.
But with these settings the painting is a continously animation.

I hope i can once convince Kapersky not to delete the exe immedialty, then I will try it on my WS with a Titan GTX.

EDIT: but what's more interesting for your interest - my pretty old workstation with a 8800 GTX 786MB

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 .. 2048x1280 nice!, like pouring paint in a tub of water and watching the colors mix and run in real time.
At start of program takes CPU usage from 1% to around 25% constant (i7-860) and upwards to 30+% during usage.
Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

Uh, that's funky. On my machine it never leaves 1%, even during usage, hehe... and I've only got a 2x 6core Xeon at 2.67Ghz. But that's great news with the GeForce 780, that's cool. I knew this one had to be enough not to worry! :) Excellent! :D Thank you!

Works pretty good on my desktop GeForce 8800 GTS 512, but not on my laptops Intel HD Graphics 4000 (win 7, DX11.1) which is strange because somehow Esitja's is running on a 3000, any ideas? maybe i'm missing some software. On the laptop the program will run and i can see the controls, but no brush strokes on the canvas, and after the first stroke the names of the controls disappear.

Hmm, are you sure you got the latest drivers installed? That would be the first thing I'd try. In a few days I should get a Cintiq Companion, which is said to have troubles with Verve, too. I'll most definitely try everything to make it run on that, so that might push compatibility ahead once more.
This stuff should not be so terribly mysterious, really...so annoying. But we shall prevail! ;)

NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS, don't know if that's good or not..

Verve lags badly... but Photoshop CS2, Illustrator and other Adobe stuff runs fine! :)

Uh, yes, that is an old card, though! I'm almost surprised it works at all!
That's a testament to Nvidia's awesomeness, hehe, they've always taken a lot of wild stuff, no questions asked! :D

Anyway, Verve depends on hardware, that is the hole point of it, really. That's why Photoshop and all those will run today as smooth or choppy as they did 10 years ago, while Verve runs on today's machines like butter, even with brushes as big as the whole resolution. I think that'll never happen to PS and all. ;)
Still, I'm sorry it's kind of exclusive in that way. :(
