That's a really nice WIP indeed.
Final version is great even if it is a PS one ;)

Re: Ka-Z & Verve - let's have some fun

I actually like the final result better, but that might be because it has more contrast against the background and goes well with the hair's color scheme. Tattoo is a great touch. :D Although I do think that 2nd one has a potential to be great too, just need a little extra contrast touch and it'll do great. :D Thank you for sharing your lovely process. It's cool to see how people can integrate both PS and Verve in their work flow. :) In fact, I should give that a try!

Re: Ka-Z & Verve - let's have some fun

Thanks :)

here's another Verve integrated workflow.

Done in 3Dsmax, textures done in Verve (with the magic F4) then repeated in PS, bumped with bitmap2material 2 and applied & rendered in Keyshot.
I'm having fun

Why didn't you use the material layer directly as bump? [ctrl]+[shift]+s I think, wasn't it? It saves out colormap and materialmap as two 16bit png files!
Looks nice! :ob

I savevd this way but bitmapmaterial allows me to create normal maps, height maps, specular and so on
also I gives you more control on it, you can play with the intensity of the bump for exemple :)

Ah, yes, I keep forgetting to offer normal map export as well. But, of course, the "material" map is a height map/bump map.
But, yeah, sure...just wanted to make sure you know. ;) :ugeek:
