Im trying out various brushes to see the results, its pure pleasure working in verve...
This one wasnt my idea , i was inspired by someone else' s drawing but gave it my own polish
Image
just simple test, started random sphere and got sucked in...
Image
This was a big surprise for me how it came out , its just chroma smudge test with brush 9 and it looks kinda like some render, its very strange how simple it was to draw this and it looks kinda real
Image
Just some random bubbles

Im thinking about creating "what are you working on" thread here on forums so everyone could post his recent artworks, kinda like its on polycount forums where everyone shares his latest 3d models in one sticky thread.

Weeee, sweet! :D
Lovely first collection of tests! Great! The very first one reminds me of out-of-body-experiences, hehe. Fun stuff!

I think, it's easier to just have people maintain their gallery threads. Otherwise it would just be one more clutter thread, you know. :geek:
But it's nice to hear ideas for the forum for sure!
You should have a look at the Sketch Topics and see, if you want to make some artwork for them, if they inspire you. Once I'm through with the majority of my updates I might resume posting new topics, too. :)

Im having issues when working with layers, when i go back to lower layers and want to add semi transparent brush strokes then they look strange and solid sometimes, anyone had that problem ? Here , it looks like almost transparent pixels and completely transparent have very huge gap when painted over sometimes :
Image
It happens when working with layers only, that strong orange starts where pixels on purple fog layer ends, so its when theres blank transparent area on layer with purple fog, when itts drawn where pixels exist then it becomes more subtle, you can even see the pixels on this example.. i used the same amount of pen pressure on entire stroke with orange colour.

First off: S W E E T !!! :D
Second: Yep, Verve's core concept allows for real time fluids, mixing with incoming colors with existing colors immediately. That advantage has one big disadvantage...you can't quite work like with any other digital painter when it comes to transparency. I'm still trying to work out how I could get the best of both worlds, but in the meantime you may want to add another layer for that or consider working with an additive layer for what you want there. Seems like you want a ray of light going across there. One reliable way of getting that would be to make an additive layer and fill it with black. Then you can paint on it the way you're used to. :ugeek:

Wow! :bounce:
This is cute and beautiful!
Otherwise yes, transparency effect issue may occured and this can be sorted out as mentioned.

You surely have made an impressive collection of animated gifs. I love to see He-Man and She-Ra artwork hehe 8-)
Shall we see here Masters of UniVERVE art? ;)
