Re: verve exploration

Ah okay, Shift [v]

Thanks! :D
the likeness is amazing though.

Thinking of it some more... it probably easy to project a variety of "faces" on there since a lot of contours and overall indicators of proportion are actually obscured.

Maybe...sure....finally it doesn't matter.
It is a very nice face.
Big eyes with wide distance, cute little nose, big soft mouth with full lips.
Almost like Norah Jones :D :D

But actually... it does matter:
De forehead is out of the frame, the sides of the face are obscured/enigmatic, you can't tell the perspective nor tilt, the over exposure obscures even more... That means any proportion and scale claims are simply assumptions. :P
But well I am glad you like the portrait. :D
But that gif could have a lot of other faces in there and it would still work.. :P

HEhe, another WIP... I wanted to make a one frame comic with a simple joke, just to see how it would turn out. It was about a psychiatrist screaming in anger at his client: "Enough with the metaphors already!"
But instead I just kept drawing. :P And I found out I really seem to enjoy working this small. Like it gives you a nice restriction to work with. A problem to solve.
But yeh, that results in the viewer having to zoom in a bit.

Anyway, rather that a joke, I suppose it covers a familiar theme now.
I am posting a detail from it, don't forget to zoom in. ^^

Any feedback very welcome!

Re: verve exploration

I feel the same, actually, love working at "small resolutions".
It looks like a beautifully surreal scenery. Oddly enough, this time I would've wanted it to be at a higher resolution, haha! :? :D

I love the melted forms and their soft illumination! Great job! 8-) ...can't wait to see it grow!
Here to help! :D

Re: verve exploration

Thanks for the feedback Taron!
I especially like how the sand on the "floor" has turned out, with the wet and dry bits. :)

Yus, like working on the edge where things can, can not and maybe can exist. :P hehe a kind of intertidal zone. Hehehe.

Hehe, well here we go. :P
I just rescaled it before turning it into a jpg, suppose at this size it is a bit more welcoming.
Anyway, I think I won't dwell in it longer, just another study. On to the next! :-0
