I am completely blown away by the power of Verve! Thank you so much for making it available - it's allowed me to do things that just aren't possible in the physical world of painting/experimenting. I've only been playing with it a couple weeks, but here's a few experiments(attached). Old Win7 Lenovo Thinkpad 420 laptop.

SWEEEEEET! Spooky, too! :o
Welcome to the forum, borjonx!
Hehe, yeah, it's a whole different world, working with these 2.5d reliefs in real time, let alone with fluids. A long time ago I wrote a filter for AfterFX called "ZbornToy", which did heightmap rendering, though with far more shader parameters. But even I was dreaming to one day just do this in real time. It's so fun. :hyper:
Well, I'm already looking forward to seeing your gallery thread filling up!!! c:!
Thank you for sharing! :ob

Thank you for the response & compliments Taron. I work in software all day, then go home & play on Verve all night, lol. I've been wanting to ask you - how do you dial one of the brushes so they are curved, instead of a normal circle application? Like how you apply highlights to tree/foliage at 10:42 of Demo04 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0OJhdnnF9E?t=642). Are you adjusting the bias by clicking on the brush tip area? The bias and the brush tip area don't seem to change the shape of the brush tip for me.

Thanks again for making this amazing, meditative tool!!

AH, the bias works somewhat differently for each brush type. Brush 2 and 3 are alike, which I was using in those videos. The default brush is 9 and it flattens instead.
Eventually I will make a nice brush GUI and a custom brush system rather than the type system I have right now. If you can believe it, this is all still just in a "sandbox" state, which I originally only made for myself, haha. But, yeah...very inspiring that you're asking about this. I may look at that next! :ob

Thank you both! Love playing w/the paint buildup!! Here's 2 more, playing w/wet & buildup esp. around the eyes.
I also got the bias figured out - so thanks for that! It's sooooo amazing. My pen doesn't specify tilt, but this is incredible software!!

Again very ominous, hehe, I like them! Except that I'd prefer not to have "world politics" tumble into our sanctuary here, you know! ;)

Understood. When I get back to my hotel I’ll remove it.

It's so easy to fall for all the theater out there. Focus your attention on what you love and can truly know and especially what you wish to create and you will enrich life just as life will enrich you! :) ...I most certainly love the treasures you bring here already! :ob
I'm very happy about all the amazing adventures people bring and share here, you know. These are true journeys we can relate to and get inspired by, biased only by our eagerness to learn.

Thank you for your feedback & insight Taron. I was at a software conference recently listening to people lecture about RESTful APIs, RabbitMQ message pipes & database schemas, but all I could think about was playing with Verve, lol. Here's a couple more of just experimenting/learning.

2_patRedAtmosphere2xb.jpg I took a pic of my wife's eye & layered it outside of Verve.
2_patHorizon4b.jpg I am learning about shading/inset, and when I start to see a face I try to bring it out some(sometimes too much). There's 9 faces in this one.

btw - is there a repository where people share their settings file so we can start w/the same config if we see Verve art we like? I'd love to start w/traditional settings like "Youngirl 440 Try diff compo_1" http://www.taron.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=17420 featured in the "Your Artworks" header.
