Re: Heri's speedpaints

Oh man, I can't get that bird out of my head from that darn mime with the bird pecking the camera saying "REALLY?" over and over.
Kevin Smith is doing a Masters of the Universe TV-show? ...tssss. Well, it's deeply 80's, so no wonder he would like that. :hihi: ...cool!

Little tip: Sometimes you want to work with like 25% fluidity just to get things a bit smoother and thicker.
Chains can be tough, because one needs to plan them out a bit. I did a tiny test and...pffff...I haven't painted in Verve for a long time. I've spoiled myself now with Vervette! :hihi:

...interesting. I almost think like I can't give any tips anymore, hahaha... :hihi:

Re: Heri's speedpaints

i am on Retro trip lately too. i am seriously thinking if should get one new commodoreC64 machines and play old school game, just for fun of it.

thanks for the tip, tips always welcome !
Vervette has better controls, means less controls and spot on , feels more accessible.
i am doing the speed paints because with family i don't time to spend 3-4 hours for "perfect" paint and stretching over days i don't losing the motivation.
the good thing about my speed paint is, i can see my miss-takes right way , forgot a shadow here, placed a highlight wrong here etc... its puzzle to find all the mistake, best way i learn from mayself. learning a little bit step bt step.
plus its fun to look at later and discover, "oh in this paint i discovered a new brush and got carried away!"

anyway first i ever painted a chain, i have paint some scene with more chains to get hang of it....

Re: Heri's speedpaints

ok, now i am spoiled with verve... i was in the park with ipad to draw... tired artrage ipad app.... mhhh could get something done, after 10 minutes i gave up...

anyway, something new... with simple scene is easier to get used to the brushes...
boosted the saturation afterwards...

Re: Heri's speedpaints

Hehehe, that's awesome, Heri! :D ...gotta check out "sidecar", never heard of it. :geek: :)
Yeah, once you really get hooked on the image based lighting, it becomes a true asset. There's so much that can be done and achieved in terms of looks and explorations. :hyper:
