Re: Verve Paintings

It looks very nice. I'm glad I came across this forum and can enjoy such interesting art. Because I don't know how to draw at all.

Re: Verve Paintings

Thanks Evelynn, glad to hear that you like it. There was a time when i did not know how to draw either, so don't let that stop you. If you have the desire to learn and willing to practice, you can get good at it too. Depending on your disposition, it might come to you fast or slow but no matter how long it takes, with perseverance it will happen. The secret is to find joy in the process of mark making, then then time it takes will become irrelevant. Good luck and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Hey kriyator, I'm not yet sure if she's not some "a.i. bot", so...you might want to hold back with the flirting, heheheh! :hihi: ...I hope you'll get back to Verve again, though. However, soon I'll have Vervette out and would really love to see what you'll do with it! c:!

Re: Verve Paintings

Hahaha Taron, thanks for looking out buddy. Either way, I try to give sound advice that should work for anyone who reads it.

Yes your right I should have at it again, a good reminder, Its been a while so i'm kind of curious of what I can pull out it this time around.

Also glad to hear about the new Vervette, I will definitely have a go at it. How will it be different from the current version?

Re: Verve Paintings

Always! :D
Vervette will be in the browser. It has a somewhat different principle than Verve, which allows countless blending modes for painting, both in terms of color blending as well as vector manipulation. It has a completely different GUI and I'm working on custom shader coding as well. It's all much more open for endless expanding and runs on any OS, of course, which should include tablets. I'm also working on collaborative painting options including creative games such as cadavre exquis, something I have always loved doing. c:!
So, yeah, Vervette is exciting and gets more exciting almost every day. Oh, and it has multiple undo, pfff :hihi: ...but even there are still some things to work out in terms of options.

Re: Verve Paintings

Sweet! Yeah that all sounds really good, being able to use it on a tablet will be nice bonus. I have a samsung tab s6 so im looking forward to trying out on there.

Collaborative painting sounds interesting too, that could be a lot of fun as well. And multiple undo too!?? Thats epic haha :D

Was just re-familiarizing my self with verve and im not sure if this has been mentioned, but is there any way to remap/customize the shortcut keys? I've been using photoshop for a long time and it trips me up using the space bar to change the size of the brush instead of panning lol. If its not possible at this time, maybe its something you could include in the next version.

Re: Verve Paintings

Hehehe, and that's something you can do in Vervette, too: Custom Hotkeys! And by default I have space for panning and Shift+Space for zoom. But, nah, in Verve you can't change that yet. For the V1.0 development I have prepared for that to come, but currently I'm working on Vervette instead. Sorry about that.

Re: Verve Paintings

Ahh okay, yeah no worries I'll work with it as is for now. Great to hear that Vervette will have that option though.

Do you have an estimated release date?
