 ...holy c..r...oh my, Russtiel, that's breath-taking! :o
I'm over the moon, man, this is outstanding, your paintings are gorgeous. Your article is just wonderful, too. It's silly just how proud you're making me right now. Thank you, really, thank you very much! :D

The interface will have to grow very soon, but I'll try to keep it as direct as I can and will try to maintain the front face of it as sufficient as possible to avoid the "need" to crawl through deeper features. But hopefully it will inspire people to explore the greater depth of what will become possible. Of course, this stuff gets quite a bit more challenging to write and to stay on top of things the bigger it gets, but I'll try to go at it with real pleasure and keep up the passion it takes to give my very best.
And artists like you make this a whole lot easier!!! 8-) ...man I love your work!
If you have any wishes, don't ever hold back, of course! I'll try to keep it all mind as I go along. :geek:

YOU ROCK! 8-)

Re: Russtiel's post about experiences with verve.

Russtiel - your article about verve is so very true.
Verve is like coming home, isn't it.
Funny for me, because I never used oil paint.

But all this talking means nothing without real arguments, painted arguments.
You brought some very strong arguments into the game.

I really love your pics. Can't wait until you paint some summer theme or portrait as you wrote in your block.
You'll love verve for portraits, I am quite sure.

I totally agree with everything you wrote in your article, Russtiel.
And, hey Knacki, that's exactly the good formula : Verve is like coming home !

Hey, thank you so much guys. It really means a lot. Sorry i haven't be on since.

I know this is probably the wrong part of the forum too but Taron, or any one in fact. is it possible to make a painting like this
Image

I'd really love to be able to simulate something like this. To be able to build up and make thick/sticky/clumpy brush strokes. I don't know if that makes sense but i'd love to be able to do a digital painting like this.

Re: Russtiel's post about experiences with verve.

Yes, it is possible, but it's so heavy that it casts shadows, which I could try to hook up, too, at some point. However, the paint simulation may have to go up a few notches to reach that kind of realism, that's for sure. Looks GORGEOUS! Very inspiring!

Ok, I've tried something, but it shows that without shadows it can only go so far. Also, the paint simulation may have to go even deeper, but it's fun to try:
