Today's Verve: "Chattanooga"

One of my most beloved places in the world.

Took the better part of the day.
That's Lookout Mountain in the background. The John Ross bascule bridge over the Tennessee river and the aquarium are in the foreground.

This is Verve! No kidding!
I turned all kinds of setting, including lighting up to maximum and then made a #2 brush larger even than the canvas, then I painted back and forth a quickly as possible, with all fluidity going maximum.
So very strange crazy patterns start to emerge, but I had to take this with a screen-capture app because drying it didn't stop instantly.

It looks like some kind of plant/toothed alien zipper thing.

Yeeeaahhhh, that's very true, I gotta have a look at the drying to somehow support madness a little more satisfyingly, haha!
Very Alien Zipper like, hehehe!

The Chattanooga looks impressive! I'm sure that it would be instantly recognizable for anyone, who ever came across it! :) ...when I was scrolling up I thought for a second there would be a photo, hehe...good job! :D

Do it the borhani way ;) -> use shortcut to safe.
Fluid will stop immediatly, save and take all your time you want to find a propper name :D

This green abstract is making me crazy! So lovely!!!

I know! You can sit for hours in a Zen-like state watching Verve push currents and eddies around.
(Shortcut is instant? hmm)

Thanks Taron!!! :D

Ha ha, Yes, it's all from memory! I promise.
I've been strangely enamored with that city since I was age 12.

But wow! I should have used one of my own photos: http://www.k4icy.com/chattanooga_trip.html

(Ah dang it, the river-boat would have been a nice touch.)

You painted that FROM MEMORY? Considering all the architectural detail, that is particularly remarkable! :o

Considering I've either been on or in each of those structures, (including the mountain,) I could describe their features vividly.
But there is a downside to drawing places you know fondly... you start to really miss them.

Started to do some Zen-like Verving today for fun - invited the #8 brush over, tweaked the fluidity - and then one thing led to another...
