"Resilient"

Image

...(After and hour of desperate searching, I went) to this other restaurant, a Café or coffee bar, which had white counters and such. I was startled and relieved at the same time and maybe my heart skipped a beat because there she was, sitting on a short stool at a table! I found her! She was studying and very visibly unhappy. She was wearing an off-white summer dress with blue accent panels. Her hair was made up, and bound up and she had makeup on which had an almost a glittering quality to it. I could remember how her skin glowed too and I simply remember noticing how very pretty she was. I knew at this point about an interview she needed to be at but I don't think it worked out.

I was very afraid at that moment that she was going to give me the "cold shoulder" but she saw me and then our eyes met. We both started tearing up emotionally, even weeping, and she stood up where we both embraced! I sat down in her seat. I remember worrying about it being a rude gesture but I brought her in and she held onto me tightly, sitting on my left leg as we embraced. I was apologetic and we kissed. I told her about my feelings for her and agreed that I would support her, be her “help-meet” and go where she would go. We walked back to the room after we grabbed something to eat there. I remember her falling asleep next to me. I covered her up in a blanket and went to sleep holding her. I had my sweetheart with me again… my courageous trooper - slightly bruised from battle but still in the war.

c:! This one took me just a few ours a day for the last three.

This image is a practical creation of one scene in a 3.5-hour dream which was vivid, consistent and filled with meaning - almost revelation. The only major difference is that the scenery is darker where as, in my memory, the Café was starkly white. The ceiling was pretty high up and the architecture was quite modern. The table and chairs are exact.

My sweetheart was with me for most of the very long dream but for certain circumstance she had to leave and I was left searching for her in a foreign place with nothing but opposition. Dreams have a way of heightening emotions that would most likely not happen in such magnitude in waking life. A month later, I still can't shake to genuine emotions of this moment.
We were in this certain city where she was to interview for a prestigious job. It was evident that all was for nothing, but I knew that she persevered, and even in the ashes of her defeat, still found the strength and momentum to review science documents and grade papers without thought for defeat.

  :hyper:
