Re: Verving the Pipeline and Post

I havent visited this thread in too long but I have been embarked on a number of explorations in Mandlebulb 3d. looking at ways to generate backgrounds for the interior of the engineering section of the Hammer, a huge spacecraft in a story I have been working on. I think these can be painted over in Verve or rather under with opacity. Thought I would share the Engineers Hall :) by the way when I named these files of course I typoed

Actually, the current 16 bit png import has hardcoded material conversion, which means you can likely even use these as canvas texture! :D
Wild stuff!!! :ob

Re: Verving the Pipeline and Post

@Taron A canvas texture? That sounds cool. How would I use it? Put a layer on top and paint directly, then load the image and start adjusting opacity. There are a lot of wild effects I could embed within the confines of the original image with Verve. The hardest to do or maybe the easiest would be to tackle the god rays after the ground work is done in Verve. I have always thought and still do, that not only is Verve excellent as a Solo and Main program but the possibilities it has in Post and other steps in a pipeline are staggering. I am thinking that if you could do a plug in to Photoshop or Paintshop Pro, that would take into account layers, it would increase the commercial viability of Verve exponentially and open more doors.

@Frenchy I haven't tried Voxel yet but this looks interesting for sure. Hopefully it will export objects I can use in Vue or Bryce. I doubt you are aware of it but as I recall I found out about Mandlebub 3d years ago from you. Playing with formulas is fun :D I pick it up again once in awhile but this last go has been a revelation

Re: Verving the Pipeline and Post

Powered by a gaming engine? Now that Is unreal lol. Downloading it now. It looks like a good render program. I mainly use Vue and Bryce with an assist from Poser Pro for some things. I have stayed away from keyshot, Vue was costly enough
Very nice. Thanks! :bounce:

Re: Verving the Pipeline and Post

Thats a nice render program also Frenchy. I will be loading it up before I clone my hard drive tomorrow. And TwinMotion rocks. Of course the free games at epic help also

This one is equal parts Verve, Incendia and Photoshop. I will probably post it at Deviant Arts along with a series of others that I have never posted. If not I will use them as frontpieces for chapters if I decide to start publishing a novel at Tapas. My main point here is to show again how well Verve works in a pipeline or workflow. I am also rethinking that a bridge not a plug in, between photoshop/paintshop pro ---> Verve and Vice Versa would be Huge and would certainly expedite a project.

In Fractal Space there is a famous resort asteroid. Or rather. There was.

"Omg Captain! What are we going to tell HQ!?

The captain frowned in a puzzled fashion, "Ummmm. Oops?"

Re: Verving the Pipeline: Multi Program Workflow

A lot of what I am posting here in this thread involves experiments and scribbles involving other programs that would benefit from Verve\s wonderful transformation ability. This one is a brief adventure inside Mandlebrot 3d and Photoshop. Just bizarre enough to maybe post at DA. It will certainly never be seen anywhere else  It was just something that caught my eye... coffs
