The funny of that function is that you give a length to something who yet don't exist!
In this way Big to small ok but Small to to big is frightening!

Hehehe, yeah. Thing is, this is normally for marginal differences, like when you want to match on seam to another. There may be only millimeters different. Then they do not need to painstakingly try and match the lengths, but simply enter the length and the curve does what it does, maintaining its integrity. This is pretty crazy cool. Makes me want to draft patterns, hehehehe.

That you name GrainLines is like a decal on fabrics or its for comment measures on the plan ?

Grainline tells which way to place the patternpiece later on the actual fabric. Fabrics have a "grain", which is how they were woven, so to say. Virtually always you need to know which way the patternpiece aligns to that grain so that later on the finished garment properly flows and also that the patternpieces sewn together will properly move together and so on. Sometimes, when you need a certain amount of elasticity, you use a so-called Bias Cut, by which the grainline is diagonal to the fall of the patternpiece.
So, yeah, grainlines are for the orientation of the patternpiece on the fabric when the pieces get cut out. Commonly you want them to be as long as possible within the patternpiece for the most reliable alignment later on.
If you look into pattern making, you will find all of the finishing tools that are in the software.

No Snap on rectangular grid inside the Print Section ?

So can be useful for center something if the pattern has itself and "artificial" margin! (or not)
(No margin here just the no snap on rectangular grid)
PS WIll be fine also if the first page of the PDF will be the overview of the trimings' Pattern(s)!
Edit : Ok I can Print a first session of a a page of the overview!



General question : i know that the pattern is at size wished (so 1/1 1/2 etc) but a writed dimension system will be not a bonus ?
Now if want simulate that i must make some acrobatics (write on the drawing section, see result in printing section, draw the arrows...

Sigh... ...man, Pilou. Nope, there is no snap to the grid of the print pages. I really don't think one should ever want that, either, because you really never want to be on that edge at all. It's where papers are meant to get cut and then glued back together. Anything that is ON such edge would likely be obscured or not as clear. So you really want to stay away from the edges or go through (cross) them.

As for the other thing, dimensions written... I don't know what you mean?! Do you mean that numbers you wrote as "Text" would be linked to some dimension system. Like, if you were to scale the whole pattern, the numbers would know about it and scale accordingly?
That would be neat, I find. Just for the fun factor. But technically speaking, hmmm... you know, this might just make it into the mix as soon as I start with the scripting engine.

OH, yes, yes, yes, that bug. That's true...gotta track that one down. Luckily that only happens, when an accident happened and not in regular use, so to say, but it is a bug!

And what you are describing up there is "measurements", which are a common CAD feature, of course, and certainly convenient. We may eventually add that, too, but it's not pressing, of course.
