Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

No, no, should work, but it still needs hardware, of course! Ipad worked fine here?!
Unless I messed something up in the latest updates... :?

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Worked fine on iPad with chrome or safari or both.
Is it supposed to default to a black screen?

Hmmm... I'm trying some things. It used to work just fine, but recently I did some adjustments... hang in there!

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Ok, you can try an older version:
http://www.taron.de/Vervette/temp

Uh, this is painful, because I can't really test it here, but know that this version was working. It may just be some idiotic CSS thing (layout), because somehow mobile and mac stuff has mildly different approaches to those. Could be that the canvas simply slipped away in the newer version. No way for me to just test it right now :PP ...but at least I know that it CAN work and it's merely a matter of finding that one little difference for the newer versions.

Thanks for pointing this out, Stavros! AND WELCOME BACK, haven't seen you in such a long time again. I'm glad you still stopped by! ...and a happy new year to you, of course!

A slightly demoralized doodle, trying to think of what might be the problem with mac/ipad now...

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Thank you very much, Brother!
Yeah, I gotta figure out more about all the Mac stuff. It's amazing how weird it acts, and I mean "weird" and not "different", really. Things that do work the way they are intended to work in terms of programming language and instructions simply don't work on the mac or are so different and so stubborn that it needs it in some specific way that one has to know and can't guess or intuit. The moment I alter the canvas resolution, the mac just loses the context altogether... "Goodbye"...pfff. SO, I have to figure out how- or if at all- I can alter a canvas resolution at any time after a website has loaded on any Apple device. ...yes, there has to be some way and it may not even be mysterious to most, but it's presently still a complete mystery to me. :PP
After that, once I have part of this under my control, I can resume feeling privileged to explore what actual ideas I keep piling up in my head, because there are plenty and I'm super excited about all of them. Even on a simple PC with a dreadful Intel HD4000, the sandbox is actually workable, which is super encouraging to me. I haven't even begun to optimize the stuff. So, yeah, a bright, bright shining future for this one and I'm in love again with diving into the code. Except that I can't stop doodling either.
When my wife is back from Germany with our Ipad, I can also resume optimizing it for that, but that will be quite some time, I'm afraid. In the meantime, I can really use your feedback!!! :ob

Well, things are happening and they are quite wonderful, too. c:!

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

AhA!!! WebGL2 doesn't work on the macbook and all kinds of apple goodness! :tantrum: ...so, GOOD, I found out what the issue is. Now I have to see how much it makes sense to regard "backwards compatibility" for the ancient technologies from Apple. :hihi:
I'll figure it out! :ugeek:

HUHA!!!! I got it! Should work fine again, even the new version... though, I may have to clean up some more, but- YAY- I figured it out. WebGL1 under kind of control.
