Re: Bug Reports

I can't use the fractal brush (#8). If I do, it paints that brush only with aliased color, and corrupts all other paint in the image with a kind of exploding gray so that I can only paint aliased like that with any brush. Radeon 7850 1GB and i5-4670k if it matters

layer lizard demands satisfaction

Re: Bug Reports

Oh, you should show me what happens, too! That's a very cute picture, too! Should put it into "First Doodles"! :D
It's interesting, I wouldn't know how or why the fractal brush should fail, but maybe I can tell what's happening when I see it.
Here to help! :D

Re: Bug Reports

First attempt, doesn't behave quite like I was used to (the image stopped taking any brush besides #8 after this point):

And then (after opening a new resolution/window) the second definitely does:

Re: Bug Reports

You obviously have a graphics card issue, because the interface already doesn't draw correctly. It's mean to be transparent and diffusing. You see your as opposed to what you'd see in my videos?
So, I'm almost shocked you can use it at all, actually.
Brush 8 is also heavily shader driven, so it's not surprising it would have some troubles. It doesn't even look that broken from those clips, because it's meant to be a fractal noise brush. Had you used a bigger sized brush, it would've been easier to judge.
SO, anyhow, Verve is in deep trouble on your machine.
But today is not the day for me to even think about it.... damn Cintiq drives me insane. Intel is by far worse than ATi, that's for sure. NVidia is brilliant, because they care to understand what you want and interpret it properly right off the bet. ATi is basically like some sort of openGL snob, wanting to be everything exactly the way the book says it, not even trying to understand what you want to do. It kinda plays dumb. Intel goes:"Screw you, I don't even look at your stuff unless you bought your way into the company". Or something like that. Insane.
I'm so exploding right now, haha... it's madness.
Can't we all go NVidia?

Re: Bug Reports

Well, yes, I see what is displayed in my video, but it looks the same as in yours! In both of my examples the background is white/light gray so you can't really see the gray transparent interface, but it is transparent and diffuse, I promise, heh. Unless I'm totally misunderstanding what you mean.

Re: Bug Reports

Do you see any lighting on the interface, like on the buttons? In your snapshots I cannot see those... here, I'll post a snapshot of what it should look like:

Re: Bug Reports

Ah, no. That's not showing for me, it's just flat like my screenshot.

It'd be funny if this were a shader problem, I haven't noticed it happening in any games! (I've only played DX3 and SC2 lately, though...)

Re: Bug Reports

It sure is a shader problem, but the flaw is mine, of course, or ATi's weird strictness. I've tested them as well as I could and found no problems. I can't tell, yet. But it goes deep. Seems like it should work. The Radeon 6800 series appears to have no troubles from the reports. No idea... latest drivers?

Re: Bug Reports

Kaspersky keeps deleting the software regardless of me setting up the exception rules.
I've never done exceptions before and the tutorials I've found don't show what I need, so I've probably missed something.
Can you or anyone else show me the specific steps to allow verve on my pc?
Thanks

Re: Bug Reports

Those Virus Killers are a pest, but Kasperky was just recording the last version as "false positive". Guess the new version is totally different now... :x ....man they are annoying. You could report a "false positive" to them and they will "fix" it. Or you could stop doing super risky stuff and get rid of it to use Windows defender again. Much less aggressive and just as effective in all "normal" situations.
I really wished, I would know what to do about this... but I just don't. I'll try making a rar from now on, hoping that will do it. :geek:
