Re: Suggestions

Yes! :D And the modular system should look like the picture below..

I can imagine all scenario. For example I want to paint now and I have only 30 minutes. At first I need to setup my brush, ok, let's do some tweaking.. ooh, it took about 29 minutes, only one minute left.. Ok, the painting process will be some next day

For me 9 brushes are enough.. 8-)

Re: Suggestions

From my point of view.. Current version is stable and we can paint almost everything with the Verve. Everything depends on our time and details we can use..
What I need for a bigger and more complex painting is the optimization of the internal engine and I am sure that is the toughest work!

Re: Suggestions

 I'll do my best to have my modular system be prettier and I'd try to make it visually more understandable at first glance without you having to open each module to understand how it is integrated.
But I'm not even sure, yet, whether I'm going to make one to begin with. We shall see.

I'll do my best to keep optimizing things, of course. Give baby Verve a moment to start walking and all that...I'll try to be a good daddy and hope for plenty of good aunties and uncles for it!

Re: Suggestions

Hi Taron,
For me current brushes are great and somewhat unique, of course we always want more but one small thing I lack today (from the real media world I mean) is not to be able to fix the angle of the stroke of beloved brush #7 and brush #8.
Please dear Taron I beg you to implement some angle setting of non-round brushes in the new engine ! Pleapleapleapleaaaaaase ! like said Roger Rabbit.

Until then, may I suggest a quick & dirty trick you may perhaps develop easily for some near 0.99 version ?
The use case would be :
- Start a stroke with brush #7 or #8 with a given direction of stroke
- Press F key to freeze the current angle of stroke
- Ctrl Z to undo the stroke (or maybe this stroke was done off canvas)
- Now you can do a stroke with the frozen angle
- The angle does not change for subsequent strokes until you press F again
This would not change the current behavior (which is also very cool!) as long as you don’t press F, nor add any button.
Note that it would be even cooler if F toggling could happen during a stroke, isn't it borhani ?

I don't know, what do you think ? if I’m the only one interested, or if it is too complex for 0.99, forget the trick ;-)

Re: Suggestions

EH...you mean manually setting the rotation angle of the brush? Uh, I just keep forgetting to do that. ...I'll do that soon, too! :)

Re: Suggestions

Many Brushes are just for special effects/textures and so on ... but mostly we use only very basic & round brushes :ob I think these 9 brushes are okay, + maybe an imagebased with invidual settings - if someone will paint in fast way hundreds of maple leafes or stars and other special image based objects ;)
